Open Letter to the TCB

Let me begin by saying thank you all for the fun times shopping. But I think the time for me to actively shop is over. AS you know I have over 700 cards. As of yesterday I am now maxed in 3 cards LOM, Flippy and Franz. Clara is at 97 and Bessie, Moe and Pete are 91. The chances of me getting a card in any shopping run in now rather slim. In fact if we find a TCB card the odds are probably 35% that I can use the card and falling because Clara is not that rare. Additionally why do I need more cards? I can’t truly max. There is no official 8th card. I don’t like going VP and getting no reward. I believe the 2 toons behind me in number of cards will one day see what I mean. They also collect wavers. Now I think all would say I helped many ubers and lil toons thru VP. Especially the cog and skel fights. I might not be best stunner but I think I can fight cogs. The two toons behind me do the same thing but they great stunners.

Here are my final thoughts on the subject of the 8th card that led to many hard feelings. The person with the most cards should determine what the 8th card should be. The reason is I would stay for any card even ones I am maxed in if you stay for wavers. I knew this day would come. When I would be maxed in almost all. Then as I sought to max the last card I would stay for any TCB card. Helping you get Flippy, who I don’t need. Helping you get Pete, who I don’t need. Daffy and Wavers have been compared to Flippy and Pete. That is why I use their names. Thus far I have stayed for over 10 to 15 of each looking for the last of my cards but why? I will never really be able to max all 8. So as many have said. “Al, you have enough”. You know what guys? I do. I stop not from lack of will but lack of opportunity.

I will stop down to see everyone and to help a friend. But actively shop. I think I should retire. The reason I started shopping was to determine max number of cards one may have. I found the answer a while ago. Further shopping became my addiction. But my friends I am cured. I would hope this letter brings about a change in the 8th card so that if you have a goal like I did, to max all 8, you can. I didn’t.

Concluding I have to say my plan was always to use the cards in Boss HQ. Maybe if they all said 100 I’d be afraid to use one and break my book. This way I’m on my way to Boss HQ. A bit short but I think I have enough gags.

That is true. If I had 100 of each, I would never use one because having 100 of each is a collection and you just can't break that. I like never knew about your experience helping ubers until you told me because I didn't go to much runs and you don't share your experience on the forums. Maybe if you slowed down. If you still want to go all the way, you can create a special run to sos shop for only like 3 cards for example.

I know one thing for sure, many will miss seeing you at the doors waiting to do some shopping. Such a bittersweet post but I guess it's true when they say "all good things must come to an end." I too wish there was something that would allow everyone to collect their 8th card of choice but so much politics makes it not worth it if you ask me.

I had no idea you have been staying for cards you didn't need. That is extremely considerate of you.

I appreciate your patience and support in this clan. When I'd see you lined up there by the vp I'd smile to myself knowing I was about to go in with a good toon who is always positive and welcoming. Congrats on all those cards! What an accomplishment that is.

What is your 8th card? You could always keep that slot free and only ever have one card in it ...

that would be a challenge to see how you could use it up before the next vp run? ;-) Or whether you use the card in the vp run itself :-)

MY eighth card is Wavers i have 58 of her. Been like almost 3 weeks since i got her. Shes not on the approved TCB list.

Well, I knew that you would have liked to have been able to shop for Wavers, and I knew there were one or two who had said a while back that they wouldn't shop with the TCB at all if they had to stay for Wavers whenever she showed up, but I didnt realize there were so many hard feelings still. That's unfortunate.

That's a nice collection you have there, though. Yes, I think you do "have enough gags," and I know who I'll want to have with me for some quick runs for Bossbot "merits."

Anyway, its gonna be different not seeing you there as often. You're always as helpful as possible, and fun to shop with. You'll be missed. Maybe, if the 8th card events work out, you can do some more shopping for Wavers on the weekends.

thanks Bob you are always very helpful. i know you must have 600 cards by now. You will soon see the diminishing return. Jon will as well. As you guys get near the end and start to max cards we can form a team to get the rest we need.I think us 4 can manage. Well us 3 LOL. It will be fun. In the mean time this what i think i should do. I will only go on el with 5 or more max toons. No ubers. No lil toons. If its a card i am maxed in i can run and not hurt the team. This way if second team running i can get on that team and try for a card. I dont like leaving but what else can i do. My point of having the toon with the most cards choose what is 8th card comes with stipulation that that toon would be obligated to stay for all cards even one they are maxed in. Of course when that toon is maxed in all 8 cards next toon chooses card that is 8th card. in return for that that toon is obligated to stay for all the cards. even ones they are maxed in. I would call this the Dyno rule. Like the Larry Bird rule in basketball lol. Anyway thats my plan. Its retirement semi retirement. Pm me xd code. We become True friends when i c u on game ok. I will make room.

That idea sounds great. I for one will not hold any ill feelings if you leave, its understandable. Congrats on getting as for as you did. I also collect Wavers, so if you ever need another just pm me for the help. Good luck!
