Unhappy No TT - desperate plea!

Hello all,

My son is desperate to access his TT account now that school has finished but when I try to log on IE7 simply says that it cannot display the webpage. Access was fine until about two weeks ago but then I assumed the problem was caused by heavy internet usage this time of year.

I had a play around with Firefox (to access My Account) and it gives more information - telling me that either the server at disney is taking too long to respond or that it is sending a request in a way that will never complete.

I've reset the IE settings, deleted useropt, added all permutations of disney/TT websites to the trusted sites list - but nothing.

It occurs to me that my credit card was renewed recently but I can't even access the My Account in order to check or make alternative payment arrangements. My questions are:

1. If this is a technical problem - will a reinstall help?

2. If it's a billing problem - do disney just throw users completely off the site without warning? It seems very odd that I can't even access the account?

Many thanks in eager anticipation. My son would be over the moon if we could get back on soon.

Talking

Well, after a few hours work I forwarded port 6667 on the router (Netgear DG834GT) and we're connected. We've been playing without doing this for ages so something changed at TT's end.

TT support was/is abysmal - completely clueless and obstructive. I thought I'd post in case anybody else has this problem.

Happy Christmas
