Just a thought.....

Have any of you requested a REFUND for time being unable to play, since they made the recent changes? Also they didn't notify you in writing that these changes were going to take place!

I am sure if you all started to ask for this Disney UK would get their act into gear, as I am sure they wouldn't want to start handing out refunds. I would also quote to them that the TT USA works fine with VISTA. Maybe even suggest TRADING STANDARDS too.

You never know it might work.

Angry more problems!

Since today I can not access niether "My account" nor "Contact us" on TTUK page as it is blocked by "Your computer doesn't meet requirements" due to this recent Vista incompatability, recent - as I have been playing since July with no problems!

I wanted to cancel my subscription - at least on one account (I have two) till the moment they solve the problem (as it doesn't seem to happen in the closest future)

But the problem now is that I can not log to my account - in order to access the payment part , and I can not open any page on the TTUK site to at least see the email to contact or telephone number , as it is always blocked by "Your computer doesn't meet the requirements" page !

Can anyone post here the email addres to contact Disney/Toontown UK and/or their telephone number?

You can always try the old way. Here's a few threads about Vista from the Tech forum:

This thread has some nice info-it may help your situation.

I recommend this thread; it shows you how to do it all.

Thumbs down UK Toons and Vista

I am having the same problem with tt, my bottle fills up then my I.E stops working!
I even tried delteting it from my Laptop and now it won't even re-enstall let alone play. Does anyone have the current SV? So I can try https://a.download.....etc.
I have emailed toontownUK and requested the UKtoons get compensation

You can install TT back through TT USA free trial account, unfortunatelly you won't be able to log to your UK account through US though

sorry for the noob question: what do you mean by "current SV"?

I remeber when several months ago TTUK messed up for the first time after one of the updates (UK players lost all their sf: on our toons list secret friends, turned to regular, non-sf which caused a lot of misscomprehension - people thought they were deleted from sf list intentionally , etc) back then TTUK was very polite , sent apologies to everyone and added about 14 days extra free to every account concerned.

I do not know why there is no reaction from them this time , not even explaination, or notification! The problem exsists since several days now!

Asking for a compensation is a good idea and a good move, under the condition that they will be able to solve problem for TTUK Vista users

sv

The sv is the number that you see in the bottom left hand corner of the screen when you log in to toon town, they change it every few weeks but as I can't get on to toon town I don't know what the current one is

Sorry, just tried logging on and didn't catch server name, it usually shows for me but not this time.....TYPICAL lol

The SV is the Software Version number, it changes when they do any update of software.

Thanks for trying to help but since the update last week these don't work. I have been playing TT with vista for about 3 months after using these useful tips but since the update last Mon/Tue they don't work. Guess we'll just have to wait for a new UK vista launcher

Thanks for that, if you add that in to the http:/a.downloadsv1.0....... etc addy it downloads the launcher, but I have tried that one so it looks like I will have to wait for tt to fix the problem, boo hoo

There's been some problems with the US's installer for Vista, the good thing for you guys is that when you get it, there will be no problems. Just think of the US as the UK's test subjects.

I live in Canada, but my aunt who pays for Toontown for me lives in the US; that way I pretty much tricked Toontown into thinking I'm a resident in the US.

I hope the UK gets its updates soon, I'll be watching the site for you guys and PMing you about it first thing!

I don't see any US complaints since last update and TF fix, done on 6th Dec sv.1.0.31.3, only UK ones since 4th Dec sv.1.0.31.2

The only US testing ground is Test server, once released on open, we get them at same time.

Lets hope they are addressing the problem as we speak.

re vista

well said red bull i am uk player and was playing laptop with no problems on vista till update no cant get on,and same for all my uk secret friends.i cannot understand whywe can not have launcher like our usa friends.some people only have vista pc now and can not play at all,it is so unfair we pay for game as same as anyone else.
