Breaking News
For the more observant of you, you may have seen this already.
For those who havent heres a link :- http://www.disney.co.uk/toontown/knownissues.html. Deals with with a lot of issues with new website mentioned here and the sfs one. The biggest issue on most peeps fingertips, i've also copied here. Secret friends disappeared Between 7pm on 12th December and 9am on 13th December players could not use Free Chat in the game - independently of the Chat setting in My Toontown preferences under My Account. Any users who launched the game in this period may have lost their Secret Friends connections. (Secret Friends were turned into Regular Friends.) This was due to an incorrect setting on the website which has now been resolved. If you played the game in the above period and lost your secret friends, please contact us. I had already contacted them over this issue as i havent even tried to get codes back from anybody yet, i'm hoping not too. Seems good chance i wont have to. However getting back ones that Xed you is a bigger problem. 'Keep it Kool '

Hats off to you for your patience and willingness to put up with p*$$poor service!
![]() Its all very well for them to say contact them re the sf issue, but they did not even send an automated acknowledgement response to my contacts. This would tend to indicate even that "improvement" is burgered ![]() As a matter of interest............ did anyone ever complain about the old login site?..... you know the one that worked? ![]() McHaggis

1) First was fairly major like this, and of course caused similiar probs, however UK and Europe market was scarce back in those days, so probs were not as bad, and no integration with french site ect (was no french), either. Complaints on TTC were evident as were discussions, there wasn't even a UK section back then in TTC, so probs not much trace of those days given the traffic that passes through this site most days, lost in the dead archives lol. Like this current stuff probs will be in 2 weeks time ![]() 2) Was a cosmectic change mainly(from a simple purple and yellow page to the more brighter and colourful one weve experienced upto recently, if i remember right), was down for few hours, but no adverse affects, people still complained they liked old one though. 3) Now 2nd major change, big integration with all other disney sites, major headaches all round, big problems and losses. And yes we complaining we like old one. And yes in 6 months to years time when they do it all over again, there will be problems and yes we will be complaining we like old one better

Disney came bcack to me with this ! ! !
Following the relaunch of the Toontown website, any users who launched
the game between 7pm on 12th December and 9am on 13th December may have lost their Secret Friends connections. Secret Friends of these players turned into Regular Friends. This was due to an incorrect setting on the website which has now been resolved. Unfortunately it is not possible for us to restore the "Secret" status of your previous Secret Friends. You will need to follow the normal steps of exchanging "secrets" to become Secret Friends with these Toons again. We regret the inconvenience caused and have added 7 days of free play to your account. If you intend to use the Free Chat / Secret Friends feature of the game, please make sure that the "Free Chat" checkbox is ticked under "My Toontown Preferences" in "My Account" on the website, before you launch the game. Note: you will need to be owner of the Disney Account and hold the master password to do this. You may enable or disable Secret Friends at any time. Once the Secret Friends feature has been enabled: 1. Log in to Toontown 2. To make a Secret Friend, click on the "Friends" button. 3. Click on the blue "Secrets" button in the top right corner. 4. Click on "Get a secret". 5. A Secret Code ("secret") will appear. The code is valid for 48 hours. 6. Give this "secret" to your friend offline. 7. Your friend will then need to enter this "secret" in the game so that you two become Secret Friends and .may chat openly with each other If a friend of you gives you a "secret" offline: 1. Log in to Toontown 2. Click on the "Friends" button. 3. Click on the blue "Secrets" button in the top right corner. 4. Enter the "secret" in the field and click "Enter secret" IMPORTANT: By playing Toontown you are bound by the Toontown Terms including the Members Agreement which outlines rules and policies for behaviour and chat. Inappropriate language, harassment or sharing of secrets with people you do not know are all regarded as a breach of the Members Agreement and may result in your account being suspended or terminated. You may review the Toontown Terms including the Members Agreement here: http://www.disney.co.uk/toontown/terms.html The My Account section is currently unavailable for users who subscribed to Toontown and paid with a Click&Buy account or who have any Click&Buy account registered as payment tool. An error page is displayed which redirects to the home page when you click My Account. As long as your subscription is valid and paid this should not impact your ability to play the game. If you need to change your subscription but cannot access My Account, please reply with your sign in details. You might also get an Error page or an empty Help - Sorry page if you attempt to access My Account when you are signed in to our website with a child password. If this is the case, please sign in with your master password and try again. If you have forgotten your master password, you can retrieve it here: http://www.disney.co.uk/toontown/password.html I trust this has answered your question but if you require further assistance please don't hesitate to contact me. Thank You, Krisztina Member Services Disney's Toontown Online (UK |

Nothing new under the sun then! . What I meant was that the new "improved" site was ostensibly provided because Disney had "listened to your feedback". Had anyone asked for the previous site to be changed (other than those that preferred the old old site way back when! )Also, whilst previous convictions for incompetence may cause us to be unsurprised by the present situation, they are no excuse! ![]() McHaggis |

Is that because that is how long it will take to re-establish all those sfs! ![]() McHaggis |

Actually, the 7 day refund for two days game inconvenience is very good - judging by the experience of our fellow toons in the US who seem to have got nothing after the 'account on administrative hold' debacle.
I also guess in Disney's eyes that re-establishing secret friends shouldn't be a major issue. The feature is really designed for people who know each other in real life, outside the game - as a child protection measure. Disney probably don't realise the extent to which codes are swapped between, initially, random people over sites like this! I don't mind the redesign of the site too much - if it is easier to find, for example, the players guide or the bug reporting page that is a good thing. I don't understand why they had to mess with the login system at the same time though!! It also bugs me that I can't directly access the US site anymore - since that is where decent news is, and info on tops toons and an easy to find players guide ;-) ....[but yes, I can still access it by sneaking there via google for some reason] |

I think you only lose a sf if you are both online during that period of time. I was on my regular toon and became "normal" friends with a sf of mine (he was online at the time). What i did was check the other sfs and they were all fine (plus offline). Then when i went on to my other account i became "normal" friends with the same guy (he was online). Again i checked my sfs and they were all there (they were all offline).
I dont know for sure but from this i am asuming people only lost the sfs that were online when they were. If you get my drift? But still - no excuses disney are just robbing us all. I have missed out on nearly a week of playing because of this new site and lost 1 sf and wasted a few hours trying to navigate their silly site! With all their money you would have thought they'd provide a decent service?? Soppycat |
