The castle in the sketch looks like one of the castles that inspired Walt Disney when he created the theme parks. Maybe it's an homage to Walt.

My 8 year old says that while an office building would be better, he understands the use of a castle. He says that since Bossbots are the bosses of all cogs, that makes them the Kings of all Cogs. Plus, bosses like to live in big houses. :)

So 'Island of Lost Gags' and 'Funny Farms' or even 'Fluffy's Farm' which is variation and probably more aptedly named, are rumours, hoaxes, or whatever and there is no proof they exist in anything announced by Disney TT department thus far at least.

Point is though the names exist, and we are sure TT reps nose around the forums, so how can you say with 100% certainty that they won't become a reality some time in the future.

For all you know Disney TT reps may just decide to come up with something based around one of these names rather then invent something completely new, a bit of the case 'Give the People What they Want'. It's worked for other games in the past.

Fact is you can't be sure that they will not exist anymore then the pro suppporters of them can that they will.

Rumours or not, most rumours tend to start with something however small based in fact, so nothing is ever certain.

Whatever is in TT's future, there is nothing wrong with us discussing these while we wait for Boss HQ, it gives everybody something to do while waiting, and this is a forum. Last time I checked the front page said nothing about not discussing at any length any rumours or hoaxes!

So let us discuss.

It's a motion picture!:yakko:

Just thought right now about Scrooge McDuck. Are there any Scrooge fanatics out there who know how his house looks in both comics and cartoons?

This is his "Mansion" out of Ducktales. No lie, there were rooms in that monstrous safe. Note this is a replica of it, not the thing out of the cartoon. Even still, the only thing that has any relation to toontown on his "mansion" is the cashbot symbol.

Next, we have a real master of gag mayhem, Prof. Von Fumblesplat. Rounding out the Team is our lady of Toontelligence extraordinaire, Silly Lily Gigglesnout.
Team 'LHAAFBBHQ' was last seen heading in the direction of Donald's Dreamland -- hopefully, investigating a clue and not for a nap! Let's wait and see with their next update!

While on a particularly high jump, Colonel Violet Supergrooven's incredible feline eyes spotted something which could be a clue in Minnie's Melodyland. While our team hightails it over there, we patiently wait for another update on this mission of Toontastic proportions.

While not an "out of tune" occurrence on Tenor Terrace, what was mixed inside definitely struck a sinister chord. The team couldn't believe their eyes -- they found a drawing of a creepy Cog building the likes of which have never been seen by Toon eyes! Stay Tooned as they send this important discovery to Toon HQ.

While congratulating her on such a well placed shot (and simultaneously counting the stars floating over his head), the good ol' Professor noticed a barnacle encrusted cog part hidden inside. What an odd thing to find all the way in The Brrrgh. This definitely bears investigation -- off to the biggest body of water in Toontown -- Donald's Dock!

I see a pattern, looks like we won't see anything new from them until either
A. February on the front page, or
B. The February/March Newsletter.

Well, the sketch is interesting, but I don't think we can automatically jump to the conclusion that BBHQ will look like that. I also don't understand why they would make AA the playground for BBHQ. I know it seems pretty clear that that is what they're going to do, but why make the toughest of all HQ lead from a "mini" playground? That doesn't make sense to me, and I am still not sure they're not going to either add on to AA, or have something different that leads from AA to BBHQ. I think that is even possible. If they're going to make the HQ lead from AA, then they will HAVE to have a street. I do not see BBHQ leading from just a tunnel like DD does to AA. However, I could be wrong, who knows exactly what they're planning.. I think it's an interesting design for BBHQ, but not necessarily what I thought Disney would do.. The sketch seems to be all one building, and you would think they would have high level cogs outside of BBHQ, but maybe they're in the inside... I don't know, there's a 100 possibilities, we can't jump to ANY conclusions, this IS disney we're talking about  .

I'm pretty sure that's what I was doing -- discussing the rumors. Specifically, I'm saying that a couple of really old rumors (Island of Lost Gags & Funny Farm) are baseless. If you want to keep on believing in them, don't let me stop you.

Shall we discuss the rumors of Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy next? ;)

But Santa Claus is real. He gave presents to people somewhere around Europe or the Middle East. (originally)

The LHAAFBBHQ team did say it looks like a "creepy cog building", so it may not really mean that's entirely Bossbot HQ. For all we know, the picture is only there because a developer was walking around Toontown and dropped his sketch, and Bossbot HQ is really the home of the CEO of Disney. :p

Edit:
Well this should show that Disney is really far from lazy. Cog HQs often offers new game play metaphors; JUMPING into Sellbot HQ, LASER PUZZLES in Lawbot HQ. Lets see if we get anything new like that this time :D

Not to mention the one the didn't say, which was Outside traps in CBHQ, we've never been able to get hurt in the main area outside of a cog battle. Wonder what it'll be though, the return of needing suits to go in the Factory/Mint/DA office area? (I'm not trying to say I don't like low laffers, I help 'em all the time, but that was one of the better things that I liked from disney was the suit in DA)

Don't count on really soon, maybe 3 months at the least. The only reason I say that is because we haven't had it on Test yet, we haven't even had the usual signs. (The "while this update lacks visible features" and "This is a maintainance release", usually those pop up before the release of something big to update the systems.) At the latest, expect it to be sometime around March to May.

Well since we're getting different dates, let's examine this through dates

Cog Invasion Contest Is Announced. (0 Days) [December 12th, on time]
Cog Invasion Begins. (Aprox. 3 Days) [December 15th, on time]
Cog Invasion Ends. (Aprox. 5 Days) [December 16th, on time]
Cog Invasion Winners Are Announced. (Aprox. 38 Days) [Saturday, January 19th, 2008]
Front Page News Says Cog HQ Is Coming. (Aprox. 68 Days) [Monday February 18th, 2008]
Cog HQ Is Released. (Aprox. 98 Days) [I got March 19th]

Therefore, both our dates support BD's theory that this will come around March 23rd. ^^ (I think the reason you got 20th is because you forgot that this is leap year.)

I put around the 23rd since I said that each date was approximately a number of days from the previous event. Since the average of 17, 19, and 25 is 20, give or take a few days from that and you'll get 23.
