Alright, I'll give it a shot.


Once assembling a disguise Toons must collect enough Articles (I can't think of anything else, I'll gladly accept any great suggestions.) before being allowed to see the EIC and present their story. They encounter the EIC in a large printing room, however he sees through the disguises and the battle begins. Cue fighting waves of Newsbots.

After defeating all the Cogs the Toons chase the EIC into a TV news studio, where the final battle takes place. Cogs will be on the sidelines, attempting to crush Toons with boom mics (like the CJ gavels) and stun them by shooting words from a teleprompter (similar to Buzz Word, Schmooze, etc.). The EIC isn't helpless either - he will shout, "This just in: You Toons are done for!", and jump like the VC and CJ. Toons defeat the EIC, who is sitting behind a newsdesk, by first standing on switches that control the lights (4 in total, one Toon on each), stunning the EIC with a blinding flash. The remaining 4 Toons must then rush to the upper corners of the studio and step on the switches there, which randomly drops either a studio light on the EIC or a handful of toon-up items within the area. However, Cogs will be trying to knock Toons of the light switches, and after enough time has passed there will be a short-circuit, and a Toon must hit the correct one of multiple breaker-switches (randomized each short-circuit, of course) to restore power. Repeat the process.

Once enough lights hit the EIC, he boasts that since he controls the media, he can make it so no one knows about his defeat. However, a Toon is shown behind a camera, who joyfully says he recorded the whole fight on live TV. The EIC is shocked and stumbles back, causing the studio backdrop to collapse on him. Cue victory dance!

Toons are rewarded with a one-use Press Badge, which can be used while fighting in a Cog Building to trick the Cogs into thinking the Toons are Newsbot reporters, letting them skip a floor.

How about a badge that turns a cog attack against the other cogs? Like have a button on the speedchat list that says "Press Badge" and if a cog uses an attack, you can press it and it reverses the attack to the other cogs? Just a thought, because I don't think anyone who makes it as far as the 5th HQ will still be doing buildings.
