Don't pull your punches

I went sad in VP last night, and it seems to me I didn't need to. We had been fighting the skeles for a while, the other side was done, and a group of three skeles came out. That late in the battle, when you're facing fewer than four cogs, that's the last of them. At least I've never seen other wise.

One player chose foghorn, another chose opera, I chose aooga because I'm only up to eles and had already used them. Before the last person chose, the player using the foghorn pulled it back and used an ele, and the last player also chose ele. We were stuck with two angry level 12s. I, playing a low laff toon, couldn't withstand their attacks.

What's the point in not using your better gag when facing the last set of cogs? You can't save the foghorn for the pie round. It's not like you get more gag experience points for using the lower level gag. It's gonna cost you one jellybean to replenish either gag. I just don't understand the switch that was made.

I know the hazards of running low laff toons through VP, but going sad when I did, and why I did, seemed kind of pointless.

Don't pull your punches. Give those nasty cogs your best shot.

Sorry that happened. I went sad in the vp 3 times last night so I know what you mean.

One of the times it was because sound missed. The rest was because the toons weren't working together.

Maybe the whole thing was an accident. Like maybe the fog horn person noticed the opera at the last sec and just thought that since the opera was being used that ele would do the job..And then the opera person decided they didn't want to waste the lvl 7 b/c they thought the group would be fine and the last person.. maybe the best they had was ele or the whole switch was made so quickly they didn't have time to react. I see no logical reason to switch at the last second on the last set of cogs other than carelessness... Seems to me that person just chickened out of using the lvl 7 which does really stink. I'm sorry that happened.

Wait the two posters above say the person who chose Opra pulled back, however, from what you said it seems to me the opra stayed, the fog was replaced with ele, you chose aoogah, and the last player chose aoogah, yes? If so, the person who switched their fog to ele is to blame here. An opra without fogs cant kill a 12, and if you're at last battle why not use it? Sorry for peoples carelessness. Whenever I'm on my 15 laff uber trying to vp with SECRET FRIENDS they sometimes 3 fog 12s, its like "HELLO? I'm 15 laff!"
What can you do? Just give it a go again!

Even if the gag was put up mistakenly, if it's out there long enough for others to act based on it, it should stay where it is, unless another toon requests that it be pulled back.
I certainly will not and would not leave my level 7 gag there if I had noticed it 10 seconds later if it was used by accident. Its MY mistake, however, its also my decision on whether or not to use it, I don't care what anyone says, its my choice, no one elses. Now, if I had any unites on my main toon left, I'd unite the lower laffer, however, most people would react in my way and I've seen them react the same way, however, they wouldn't use unites for the people effected by there mistake. (I don't now if I used the right a/effect there, I don't know the difference between affect and effect, as many times as I've asked still beats me)
