The following 4X4 CFO Loading Technique is a work in progress and is subject to change.

TIEDYE NATION CFO 4x4 LOADING TECHNIQUE V1.2

Step 1: READY – SET – GO

1. Line up on the LOADING PAD (1ST 2 White Squares to the left) according to job/exp using Diagram A.

2. When 8 toons fill the LOADING PAD; proceed as a group up the stairs. Count heads. Do you have 8? If so proceed; if not go back down to regroup.

3. Take picture and load elevator

HISTORY: This was originally posted on 12-21-2007 and is past history. We all have progressed greatly since then!

We have had to use this post for our documents as they are getting lost in the thread.

Well I told Lady Fluffy, Sir Wilbur and Nut E. Sam I was going to post something, so here goes. I hope I don't ramble too much, but it's a starting point. We have a real good bunch forming, so I am pretty sure we will all make it easy for each other.

First off, if you want to want to make SF's with someone as a result of this thread, please do so in a PM.

Don't do it here, it is against TTC rules.

I would prefer the former, but not sure if all TTC users are able to receive a PM or not. (I think you can turn it off, but I'm sure someone will enlighten me though if I'm wrong)

Or better yet, do it within the game itself. There are many ways to convey a code to another toon. Sometimes it's easy, and some times it takes days, but I haven't failed yet, and it is a lot of fun when you finally break through.

First let me disclaim any possibility that I might be perceived as the leader of this group, it just aint so. I am too busy having fun on TT to go through Bossbot/Selbbot drudge like that !

For Granny and I, (a husband and wife couple) it has been all good so far, even the occasional sadness, and we continue to play almost daily with a passion, 11 months after our first visit to Flippy.

I know that (almost) each one of us in the current group has a fond love of XXX as well as TTC. Granny and I took out a lifetime subscription here on TTC, as we are for sure in it for the long haul.

As I continue to grow and evolve as a toon, I have encountered many challenges, met many friends, completed many tasks and earned a respectable number of laff points.

The friends we currently have in what Sir Wilbur says is Tie-Dye Nation ( I dont care really what if anything we call ourselves, just that we hang out together and get those coveted keys and laffpoints).

We as a group are constantly learning things in a manner similar to what many groups before us have done. That seems to be the natural course of evolution of a toon within TT. Organizations allow us TTC toons to use modern technology (ie this message board) to go Disney one up on the underlying Teamwork underpinnings.

I am starting this thread so the our small group might grow a little in size. and use Teamwork on TTC to allow us to most effectively use our time on TT to both have a great time, and continue in our suit progressions.

It took me a while (as I said yesterday. I am slow : but deliberate ) to decide where to post this thread. It boiled down to either XXX or XXXX start a new thread. I chose the last so as not to offend or interfere with the well established operations of othergroups. Hope I made the right choice.

Our group as it were, consists of Toons that are adult addicts, who are currently running factories, mints and D/A's i order to be ready to attend normally scheduled public runs. This is because we don't care for elevator shuffling, and the public runs have allowed us to get started in doing Boss cog battles.

Granny and Crazy's progression was such that we had gotten them up to the 105 LP range, given up on the possibility of Boss battles, started the Twins, gotten them up into the 90 LP range, and realized then that if we didn't set about to battling the VP, that this would get boring in the long run.

Granny and Crazy also have a hardcopy notebook. Granny is the secretary and holder of the book, Crazy does the research using widely available internet tools, finds the info, and prints out a copy of the relevant info, which he hands to Granny to add to the notebook. It contains things like Jellybean combos for gardening, Fish and locations to find them. A guide to the factory, maps of all the mints, cog hit point values, and distribution by playground and street, and many more.

So Crazy remembered running accross the XXX in his research. The schedule was located and added to the notebook. Right away, that led us to discover Sir Wilbur on TTC, a toon that we had been running into and playing with a lot. We exchanged codes, he introduced us to you (fluffy) and we started showing up for VP battles with the CCG. Yes, we went sad the first time ( jump dummy ), and maybe the second time too, but thereafter we were able to survive any onslaught. It only took up a couple of months of merit jail to earn our Sellbot keys.

Since we were progressing well on the VP, we decided to give the CFO and eventually the CJ public runs a try. Our first 5 runs at the CFO were a disaster , with sadness in the playground the result. Same with the CJ, though only one sadness before we caught on, and got some outside help.

This forced Crazy to evolve again. So Crazy went without Granny to the CFO run, found some familiar names, and asked for help. Since it was XXX, the Toons were more than willing to help out, and Crazy was dancing in short order. It became clear to me that first off, you need to be a good stomper, and second you need to have at least one excellent craner and stomper team, or two semi experienced craners who can get the job done eventually if you want to dance. So Granny, Crazy, Sir Wilbur, Clyde Bumpenslam and occasionally others were using the warehouse goons in the factory, and the goons in the Mints to practice stomping in an efffort to reduce CFO sadness. This indeed helped a lot, it took us from winning about 1 out of 4 tries to winning 50% of the time.

So Granny and Crazy conspired some more, and worked on a strategy to improve their succes ratio. They both signed up for the XXX CFO training run. In addition to getting a chance to try the crane at leisure, we were pretty confident that our backs were well covered, and we would even get a CFO win in the process.

We learned a lot of things at the session, none of which was how to crane effectively .

What we learned so far:

1- Granny hates the crane and will concentrate on improving her stomping and CFO behavior skills and strategy.
2- Crazy will be both a good stomper and craner someday but it isn't today.
3- Great stompers can give the inexperienced craners all the time they need to get the job done. Faster would be nicer, but take your time and do it as effectively as you can, you will get better, and we will keep you covered, provide you with stunned goons, and a field of treasures should you need a tune-up.
4- Good craners cannot win with inadequate stompers. One toon, who starts to run around the CFO in circles, taking more damage than they are creating in treasures, can deplete the field of treasures to a level that threatens the craners health as well as their own.
5- Great craners can hop off the crane, stomp a batch of goons, eat the treasures they need, hop back up on the crane, pick up one of the goons they stunned, and stun the CFO and carry on. This is a must if you are considering a solo run someday in the future.
6- A training run is a good place to Mingle, you will prolly become secret friends with your instructor which may or may not become something permanent enough to exploit for Toon knowledge to share with your Clan, and you can even use your instructor to pass a code to some other toon in the same room with someone you want to befriend:

Which, Lady Fluffy, Sir Wilbur and Nut E. Sam is what got us to this part:

I was on Wednesday as usual, and last night Thursday, but not as usual. RL had dealt Crazy a blow with 3 bannana peals, one Belly flop and two Rollovers on the ice in the driveway while hauling the trash to the street, and some holiday shopping, and Crazy was hurtin and tired. I got on long enough to either speak to you directly on TT or through Granny who is of course sitting next to me.I spoke to all 3 of you in particular, and mentioned that I would post here somewhere. Well this is it. I will point others at the thread, those that are running with us. Just like any time we get together in a playground and chat, we will get bombarded to a degree by toons we would rather not associate with, but so be it, we can deal with that as it evolves.. let's pray it doesn't. nuff said.

The XXX, who we know and love has been and will continue to be fantastic for most or all of us. It is not however the SCG or BFG. While piling on to the elevator and LLKR will work in learning and completeing the VP sequence, the CFO and CJ sequence could stand a little Teamwork. While it would be nice to do it within the game, once you have made SF's, having a discussion isn't very workable once you get a group of SF's together. It's hard to see everyones bubble sometimes, and the limit of the length of a thought or speach bubble tends to make it difficult to say and do a lot.

I think it comes down to something like this.

If we use the resources availavble on TTC, we ought to be able to do the following.

Populate your SF list with an arrangement that suits you as a toon.
How we do this effectively is up to each of us, but we can discuss it here, and accomplsh it here as well.

Since I am still getting into this for the first time, I'll speak my approach and see where it goes from there.

I have 50 SF slots. I am going to allocate 30-35 of them to other toons in our group. I will allocate 10-15 of them for Mingled contacts. These are for toons I am introduced to, in the process of playing the game. When I start a days playing, I will ALWAYS have 4 free slots, and 4 codes (speedchat 1st letter method compatible) for each of the toons I am actively playing. This allows me to add friends quickly and flexibly.

I am going to have my SF list consist of those toons that are on at the same times I am, and are working on the same things I am. I I will give preference to active couples, and am very loyal to the single friends I have already made.

And as always, I am playing with adults who have children or grandchilren. Are sensitive to the need to maintain decorum when playing with the toons that are children or grankids of the person on the SF list, and are tolerant, patient and understanding when a toon says ... wait a sec brb, babys crying !

Organize into couples

A couple would consist of two toons working on the same task. For a married couple, this is easy to accomplish. For singles, make friends with another single who is at your same level. Just make sure you are at the same suit level, and you will always need the same things. But we have also seen plenty of couples, threesomes and foursomes formed while we learned to work the factory to get out of merit jail. Some have escaped, and can now battle the VP anytime they like, to have fun, collect SOS cards, go to any public run whenever you wish.. whatever your motivation you will probably continue to fight the VP with that toon, and for some gamers, the next motivation becomes either start an develop an uber or soloing with the toon you have. Hey, whatever keeps you going works for me.

But now as I mentioned earlier, their is no Short Changers Guild. So there is no teamwork other than pile on the elevator and read the zone defense manifest to help you get up to speed.
So to facilitate our suit developement and continue our toon evolution, I propose we move forward like this.

Use this thread on TTC to organize ourselves into couples

A couple would list themselves as any or all of the following:

Sellbot Cashbot Lawbot

Factories Mints D/A's

Keyholder Keyholder Keyholder

The reason for forming a couple becomes clearer when you get to the mints and D/A's . Two couples ( name to be determined, double date ? suare dance ? help me here ) Form an elevator load at he mint or D/A.. this is sepecially helpful when you find yourself in Nutty River, and you don't want to play elevator shuffle with randoms and the myriad of noobs and dweebs.

I suggest that each cashbot couple consist of 1 craner and one stomper. When you get to the CFO battle, you will have each others back so to speak. Indeed one good craner and one good stomper can defeat the CFO by themselves. If we load 2 couples at a CCG run, the odds for success go way up from my personal experience.

I suggest that each Lawbot couple have at least 1 puzzle solver in it. If both are, so much the better. That would ensure that each foursome has the talent to solve two puzzles at once.

Since the XXX doesnt have a D/A training session, I am going to organize a training run for ourselves. So far Nut E. Sam and I want to give the puzzles a try. As a result of the PM's I received from Bigger Brother and Sister Toons on TTC, we will get three of us together and be led on a run or two through the D/A and learn what we can learn on the way as well as become confident puzzle solvers and share it with the group.

Couples ought to show up together for scheduled public runs, when the number of couples reaches 4, you have a family group or whatever it evolves to be called. At that point you can either pile on to the elevator a little early by changing districts (preferable I think) or piling on early at the public run district. I dunno, maybe some of our bigger brother and sister toons might have some input for us to chat about.

Phew enough on that or now, let me move ahead a bit. I'll post this as a start, and follow it up right away with where we are now and what happened to us all (the group), the other night (Wed.) at the CFO.
It is what has motivated me to start this thread. I suspect it will take off from here, as most involved are just as active on TTC as they are on TT.

Your turn for some input my dear Toon friends.

Love Y'all

Crazy

Have fun above all. If your not laughing at least half of the time it is not worth doing. Once you have some good friends sf or not, let go and enjoy yourself. The most fun and best times can be had with toons around you. We are all human, but let the toon side make you laugh. I Love to play with our team because of all the smiles, laughs and mistakes made by all of us. Trust is the biggest thing our group has going. LV 7 gags are hard to earn but we will give them all up to save one of our own. I enjoy being a part of this great group, I wouldn't have it any other way. fat fiddlegrooven, known as Fat to my friends...

Sounds good to us!!!

I will introduce ourselves:

Lord Romeo and Lady Juliet
He is the craner I am the stomper! Works very well for us!
We are both at 111 laff. Should have a couple more laff points by Monday!
We are Hollywoods 26 and Robber Barons 14 (Thanks so much CCG!)
Currently, we are rather tiny in our law suits. I believe we are Bloodsuckers.

All gags are maxxed except for drop but we do have our pianos. Both of us our trapless.

We enjoy battling with other couples, since we are ones that do have to contend with the abrupt "I will be back, baby crying!" However, one of use usually duals both toons when this happens!

We enjoy playing with the fellow toons within this group that we have already met and look forward to the many upcoming cog battles. Company to the daunting merits, bucks and notices is always a welcome change!

Hey all,
Sir Wilbur Octofoot here ...

This is a fun group. Teamwork is our middle name, fun is our last name. Pulling out a small gag on the last cog in the VP is not unusual (hey it's TT let's smile). I started playing because the premise of the game was intriguing, I keep playing because I have made some wonderful friends.

I try to make jokes (some of them bomb) but it takes away the pain of 8900 cogbux till next CFO. I just got my Sellbot Key (Snoopy Happy Dance) but I still go into the Factory to help friends that need the meirts. Everyone went out of their way to help me get all those VP's done the least I can do is return the favor.

It would be nice to go in the mint or DA without having to do the elevator shuffle or finding you missing a toon or two because they left after the doors closed.

I will help anyone on getting merits\cogbucks\JN's outside the CCG run times. Actually I get on usually right at or 30 minutes beofre the last run, and stay for awhile afterwards. You want to golf, no problem I am easy to beat, just ask Romeo and Juliet. I never raced but I guess I can give it a try.

For the record, if I am on crane it usually guarrantees a loss, I am more comfortable as a stomper.

The Team Tie-dye comments came about because we were all wearing Tye-dye shirts and was gathering a small crowd of onlookers.

Granny, Crazy and Nutty E. Sam are going to spend some time doing the D/A puzzles. This is not for gettin jns (unless you wish it were, you can), it is to practice doing the puzzles while covering each others back. Most you as a group have to kill is 3 rows of 9, 10' and 11's. Then bail back to the playground gag up and play again, til we are tired, or have a run to make, or are toon enough.

We'll do it with 3, but if know in your heart that you need to be able to do it to earn a BW 50 suit, why not make it a foursome 4 toons of our caliber can do elevator A even if we fail with all the puzzles. Will post a trip report on our return.

Time and place to be decided by PM. Anyone, anyone ?

In light of the fact that we have been able to fill an elevator at a lot of runs, and we have enough HW50's around to do an unscheduled run any time we like, I would suggest the following. Arrive early as you like for a scheduled CCG run, as soon as 8 show up in the flesh ie be there or be square.. they can go to our home district (whatever that may be) and load up. Any latecomers can run with CCG. otherwise with less than 8 pile on with CCG, we are getting better at getting our group on the elevator at a CCG run, and have been rocking the house hard and often.

..... and there was much rejoicing, missed you in that CFO Granny, but at least we all danced.

Congrats to Romeo and Juliet on their LP boost. Taken directly from the expense account of the CFO himself.

Thank You! Thank you very much (as the star fish says)!

It was a great run with you guys. We truly enjoyed it. Thanks to all who went out of their way to make a special trip through the VP with us. We were working hard on getting all of our merits in time for the CCG run but alas, we were short one run when the time came.

Laff in sell is next..hopfully today or tomorrow.
