There are always toons like that!
Quote:
I make a SUGAR list for toons who do that and avoid doing any boss battles with them. They find themselves without helpers pretty soon. Lion Heart

I agree with you completely, we need "please save the treasures."
The way this battle is right now is a delightful gift from the developers to the griefers of Toontown who enjoy making toons go sad. It's possible for two toons to withhold all tune up goodies from an entire team. It is also a perfect test of character, revealing the level of selfishness, and kindness. I've seen toons attempt to hide (it doesn't work) and beg for tune up unites, and eat every goodie that comes out of the kitchen, and whine and pout with speed chat. I believe that these were all adults, since the time was very late at night, or during school hours. If it hits open like this where most of the players are kids, it could be an unpleasant mess. In addition, I'd like the phrase, "Please take the treasures." I've seen many brave, hard battling toons working like crazy on the tables, taking hits, getting low, and the treasures are falling off the end of the belt. I don't like stopping my offensive strategies to attempt to find the right phrases to suggest to a toon to go get those treasures and get back healthy enough to take a couple golf balls. I've never purchased, "You need more laff." I'd like "Please take the treasures" right on top of the CEO phrase list. I'd even like our CJ phrase, "I'll do the tune ups for our team" handy, because in the panic of the moment when I see toons near death...finding all the phrases to gather the team for a unite tune up isn't possible. By the time I jump out of the way of two or three "fores" and run to the toon needing the help, the toon is below 10 and there isn't time for a string of phrases and the waiting time for everybody to gather and take advantage of the unite. I end up just throwing the unite near the needy toon, and the rest of the toons in the room are disappointed and perhaps think they've been slighted or griefed.

I totally agree with you to save the treasures, but don't they just fall off the end and nobody gets them, and they are still slow coming down the conveyor? At least on open there I can CFO just about when ever I want and I have over 30 toon up unites so my friends and I will be ok for a while. Unless they come up with another way to toon up in the CEO other than the 1,2,3,4, possible points slowly coming down the conveyer. Just my 2 cents, I love this forum, it makes a good sounding board for all to clear there chests Thanks all.

I agree, a phrase is not going to change the behavior of those that refuse to let others heal. We have been saying "Let's use Toon-up", "Meet here", then tossing a unite after we wait long enough for those who need it to get there. Skip and Comic are now out of unites tho, so will need to do some CFOs again later. SKip ![]() |

I'm surprised that you even have anymore unites. I hope people are appreciating how many everyone has gone through in there. |

A phrase alone will not change people's behavior. However, this does give a fast, effective way to communicate to goodie grabbers that they might need to change their approach.
My guess is that some of these players are doing this deliberately, and don't care how many people go sad in the process. Asking them to "save the treasures" won't change their behavior. However, I also think that there are some players who are blissfully ignorant that they are doing something wrong. Asking them politely to "save the treasures" might make them see the light. Just having that phrase in the lexicon makes a point in and of itself, by making people stop and think about why that phrase might be there in the first place. Without "please save the treasures", we are left with "Let's use toonup" (doesn't address treasure-gobbling per se) or general cries of frustration like "you stink" or "please go away" (which lets the toon know that he is in the wrong but doesn't explain the problem and doesn't exactly solve anything either!). We'll see whether Disney listens.... Violet B.

Well, since under the current system the goodies don't accumulate, they disappear thus eminating the real possibility for them to be "saved" in the first place. Perhaps this is why Disney has elected to call them "goodies" and not "treasures." I do agree however that there should be more speedchat phrases with regard to the snacks, I just don't think that will deter the abusers.
