Wednesday Beanfest to be Changed or Not

In a prior post, Skip eluded to the fact that 4pm Central on Wednesdays is not really a good time for beanfest.

Let's get your ideas, and I can changed the schedule accordingly

Hey Peaches! I have talked to many toons, and all are in agreement that 4 pm just doesn't work well for them. My opinion is that the beanfest should be moved to 6 pm central.

I'm happy with the Sunday beanfest, so no need to change anything based on my opinion, but I thought I'd post my point of view as there may be others in the same situation.

I'm on the west coast, which means the current Wednesday beanfest is at 2:00pm, while I'm at work. Moving it to 4:00pm (6:00 central) won't help that much, because the majority of working people aren't home by then. It would have to be 5:00 or 6:00 (which means 7:00 or 8:00 central) for many west coasters to make it.

However, I know the whole idea of staggering the times between Sunday and Wednesday is to allow for people with different schedules to still have one to go to. Changing it as I suggested would pretty much eliminate that staggering. I think it would increase the attendance at the Wednesday beanfests, but it may mean some people can't attend either, and that would be a bad thing.

One thought might be to switch the two. Move the Sunday one earlier and the Wednesday one later. That way there would still be an early one and a late one, and more west coast players would be able to attend both (or either).

Like I said at the beginning though, I'm happy with the Sunday one as it is, and for me, one a week is enough.

Well right now as things stand both times are bad for me. I am on the west coast so Wednesday is at 2pm just when my kids get out of school and Sundays I often work at the scheduled time.

Personally I would like to see the Wednesday beanfest moved later by an hour, then I would make it more often. That might make it a bit easier for the other time zones too.

I do agree that the two different times keep both time zones happy it just works out that the one with the more favourable time for the pacific time zone is on a bad day for me.

Thanks for the feedback, based on those I see that 6pm central may not cut it as well. Let's try 7:30pm central and see how that goes, we can always adjust later.

You so rock taking the time to set these up and adjust to TRY and fit it for everyone. I know it cant be an easy task and just want to say that i think its great!! Test is the best!!!

I agree. I think that the Wednesday beanfest should be changed to either 6:00 or 7:30 central. I get out of school about 3:15, then pick up my sister, and often have after-school activities. (Which get out about 3:30-4:00) And also you have to think about time to get home, and time to sign on, get to the district, and by that time the beanfest would be well over. I think this is a great idea to get people involved in the beanfests who could not make it at the designated time! Thank you, Peaches, and everyone else who supports this!!

Skip, I went to the Wednesday 4pm one and it was a total belly flop which shocked me after the resounding success of the previous Sunday. Toona Helper told me his 10000 bean bank was FULL on Sunday so perhaps Wednesday ppl didn't need beans but my little ones sure did and I got NONE lol and I'm a fairly huge contributor most times so I believe the time or day must be a factor and move to second this motion. -)

As always Peaches and Skip are right on top of things and truly I was to simply express appreciation for all the hard work on both your parts ALWAYS to keep Test moving forward and making events accessible to all.
I will only be able to attend scheduled CFO and VP fights for the most part from here on in due to extensively limited play time and it's truly a relief knowing you guys go to alot of trouble to make these events happen!

Ok Guys,

Let's clear up what's going on here. About a month ago, I mentioned in a thread that the Saturday-Sunday beanfests were not very efficient. If somebody fills their bank on Saturday, do they really need a beanfest the very next day? Since people use beans throughout the week, it made more sense to move one of them to the middle of the week. This way, people have time to use their beans before the next beanfest. Since I am unable to post in the TEST groups, I had somebody else start the thread recommending the change and it was adopted quickly.

The object is to make as many beans available to as many toons as possible. Nothing is cast in stone here. All of the times we currently have scheduled are inconvenient for Left Coast members. Since many of these people have beans to give as well as the need to get them, why not just ADD a third day for them suce as 10:00 Central. This gives the west coast people a beanfest at 8:00 and east coast people have it at 11:00, perfect for the late-nighters. If we want to stagger them we can try something like:

Sunday: 8:00 central 9:00 Eastern 6:00 Pacific

Tuesday: 10:00 central 11:00 eastern 8:00 pacific

Thursday: 5:00 central 6:00 eastern 3:00 pacific

This gives west coasters a beanfest at 3:00, 6:00 and 8:00
and east coasters a beanfest at 6:00, 9:00, and 11:00.

If somebody can't find a beanfest during one of these times, there is only so much that we can do.

Now if we could only get the beanfest on OPEN out of the busiest district...I might start going again.

Sunday Beanfest STUNK Bean wise not attendance wise and I assure you we all DID CFO as much as usual just had no jbs to give. I was actually stunned how baddddddddd the spray was this last week considering the norm and I kept jumping into HQ to yell -I need JBS/TTC etc... and I change toons over and over calling everyone on every list however none of us had any to give- HOW VERY ODD that was.... now that was Sunday...
what's the deal for Wednesday guys are we still on for 7:30 central or was it changed. I'm going to CFO again now however I certainly don't have any to give and have done a ton of new toon tasks on all my little toons as well so if you need beans - hollar and I can bring you a new toon if worse comes to worse- WHAT'S UP for Wednesday??
