Oh My! Me and my 2 Cents Again!! Look Out!

Dear Me!! The glass can be half full folks -how come we consistently opt for the half empty side? Oh My!!! (open Mouth Insert Foot- but here goes) I did not know what XSPeed was until it was brought up here. I do know precisely what it is NOW as I went and educated myself on it and here's my take...for what it's worth. In the meantime STOP THAT!!!
Toontown developers, I most certainly assure you, are HIGHLY Skilled, INTELLIGENT folks. This website test.toontown.com was set up specifically to enable them to optimize the quality of their new additions, to work out the kinks and find the "bugs" and HOLES prior to releasing it to the public.

DO you honestly believe for one second when times that are 1/2 the norm showed up that the developers didn't instantly KNOW why and how? You people were given a RESPONSIBILITY when given a test acccount and it's appalling that the adept players who are responsible for finding the "flaws" in the program EXACTLY as we are supposed to do, the players who quickly found a way to EXCEL, which conceivably would put other players at a disadvantage are being targeted and labled as CHEATERS.......this will now affect them on Open as well and the whole thing makes me want to BANG MY HEAD AGAINST THE WALL!

SHAME ON ANYONE who mistakenly called similarly named toons CHEATERS a
( see post by Sir Ernie McGloop) that's especially dispicable-what can I say to that...except.... get used to it and "WELCOME TO TOONTOWN!!"...... Then SHAME on the rest of you for labeling the Toons who DID set the records by using XSpeed or whatever-"CHEATERS" and for attacking them both in TT and in these forums. Certain Toons on test are being publicly ridiculed and labled as CHEATERS and even targeted in GSW and being "heckled" with 'You Stink's' and there has been post after post in numerous forums regarding this 'cheating' issue which ALL OF YOU KNOW is then filtered back and carried in bits and pieces onto Open and quite simply- it's appalling no matter which way you slice it and a GUARANTEED END to test. toontown. com eventually is certainly a possibility if this type behavior continues to occur. OH Boy!!

SOUR GRAPES resonates throughout the totality of the posts with a modicum of morality sprinkled in.... and rationality for the name calling, is almost completely devoid of fact as well as foundation when you evaluate TEST and the principle behind it's existence.

I am NOT a cheater nor do I condone cheating. I AM an entrepreneur and have consistently been someone who "challenges the status quo" and I can assure you...the avatar Lead, follow or Get out of the WAY...springs into my mind. A couple of particularly savvy Toons DID THEIR JOB by utilizing XSpeed and left the masses IN THE DUST... and I say BRAVO!!! Good For You!
I am fairly certain these toons will be the ones selected by DIsney in the future to continue testing their product while all of us are booted because TEST was put into place for PRECISELY these type of things to be found, explored and incorporated or blocked out so that all of us will be given EQUAL footing prior to releasing the game to the public.

Disney has gone overboard to insure that my $4000 computer doesn't do anything that Hunter's $800 won't do and that my dear friends, in this technologically advanced age is, in itself , MIND BLOWING....

I respect a lot of the posters opinions about this occurance and actually concur with ALOT of the perspectives that were posted HOWEVER - I am sick of the innuendo and gossip that plagues TT and feel it was truly irresponsible for all of us in this PARTICULAR case.

We are governed on test differently and feel the appropriate thing to do was to send in your bug report as EXPECTED of Testers and is the whole reason behind your even having access to TEST. To come here and gossip to friends to the point that innocent Toons got "You Stinked" is an abomination.

Respect the priviledge of being a tester and act accordingly with the responsibility entrusted to us and take your observations up with the developers in a BUG REPORT. Lastly- (I am in trouble so WHY NOT go for broke?) I don't think it's appropriate to post pictures and guides and information on TTC yet either ; as again it seems to defy the priviledge given a tester however I myself am guilty of posting and reading so the pot shouldn;t call the kettle black and untill TEST admin folks suspend us for doing so, I guess it will continue- just thinking out loud!

People using programs to make them better in GSW does not make them cheaters (IN HER OPINION).

My 2c : It is a good thing that XSPEED is being used... It gives Disney a chance to see it screw up their game, and find a way to block it.

Thank you, that's what I thought it meant, but I wasn't sure. Using Xpeed is obviously cheating, because it's not playing fair, if everyone had Xpeed and was able to use it, then it wouldn't be unfair since everyone would have the same chance.

Having a speed program to boost your pc when surfing the web is fine. If it enables you to download something faster than your pc WITHOUT it is also fine, but to use it for selfish gain is wrong.
My computer is decently fast - not yet under 1min 55secs on the speedway or under 4mins 20secs on rustic.
I have taken advice from people on how to take the turns so I don't hit the fences and what speed I should be taking those turns also and where I should start hitting sideways on a turn.

All of us want records, more tickets and trophies, so why not play fair?
I do not condone this xspeed program one bit when it comes to playing unfair.

I applaud those that report the "cheaters" to Disney, but folks becareful - not all of us are cheaters.
Just because someone may hit 2mins on the speedway and you hit 2mins 01secs does not qualify a report to Disney on the person you lost a race to.
I don't know what the minimum speed is on the speedway but let me ask you - no matter how good you are, how in the world do you hit that rustic under 2 mins?

I am so amazed that people who consider themselves entrepreneurs and say how expensive their computers are would even consider playing such a simple and enjoyable game! People were stinking people long before GSW came out, and it will continue, I have no doubt. I'm not saying that I enjoy it (actually, it just shows who the kids are), but go with the flow....it's just a game, and it seems that the adult is more upset about this than the children.

I've seen many adults Toontown players act like imature little brats. So, don't think the "youstink!ers" are just kids. There are many kids that are more mature than that.

Using any boost program to "test" the environment is what testers are all about, finding flaws in the game - using the known speed program to your own advantage is definitely a cheat and by george, I shall report it

REPORT IT PEOPLE... rofl... that's YOUR JOB, the price extracted for your FREE TEST ACCOUNT.....It's WHY you are even ALLOWED to participate in the testing of this product and ABSOLUTELY your responsibility as a tester
to do so and I CONCUR 100% with this.

Behavior of this type from testers is UNACCEPTABLE and save the dramatic declarations of REPORT IT I SHALL......and shelve the bravodo because MY PROBLEM was with all of this being utilized to camoflauge MORE GOSSIP and BAD BEHAVIOR PERIOD.... Don't you get that?

DISNEY HAD the information the second it occurred the Security Box pops up every SINGLE TIME YOU LOG ON so don't act surprised..... we ALL agreed to allow them to have this or we could NOT activate our test accounts.

That's nice and all of you to point out the obvious to the poster, but I must say, if you go back and read, this person is WELL aware of what could and may happen and they quite honestly could give a rip. As you have your opinion, suggestions and rants, so does everyone else. This person is obviously highly annoyed with all the posts stating someone had cheated once again and stinking them in that post. They know that this thread may do absolutely nothing but cause people to be mad, as stated in the first to second paragraph... yet ya know what, this is a forum. People come here from all over the world to give advice, opinions, suggestions, help, vent and so forth about many games... mainly TT. As you feel that this person should not be telling others to stop because it's no use, you cannot expect the this person to stop simply because you mention them too as well. This is the posters way in at least making it known to those who do post obnoxious and mean things about supposed cheaters what they think... whether these people take it for granted or not. I in a way agree with their post and applaud it. Yes this may be a "children's" game so to speak and you can feel that some adults are getting upset more over little things, yet we don't have a right to vent? Only children and teens do? It may be just a game, but its based on talent, strategy, team work and many other factors that play into life in general. Many people in the world take many games seriously especially when there is competition. If they didn't, then football, basketball, baseball etc would not be what it is today. I agree that the point of test is to try and break the rules. How else will Disney know what to block or fix. I hate when these people feel the need to rub it in that they blew you away. I'm an adult and can deal with it but there are kids playing and it is poooor sportsmanship.

I raced on rustic raceway today because a bunny wanted someone to race with. I stink with a capitol S on that track but decided to help him out. He gave me grief about my lack of ability throughout the race and then again afterwards. I said YOU're Welcome and declined another challenge.

At least this time I was able to keep my deposit and win alittle. Last time through I was so bad I lost my deposit.

Yes, but if you had actually READ the cheater's posts you would know that they are CONSTANTLY BRAGGING about their scores and THEIR program and how they will NEVER stop hacking. They are not using this program to favor Disney! They are using it to get some stupid tickets! Using it once, maybe twice, even three times I can understand. But it DOES NOT take the taking over the All Time Best board/Weekly Board/Daily Board to figure out if/how the program works.

I could easily find and get this hack. But I'm not STUPID. Nor am I a hacker (anymore xD).

You didn't "burn" anybody my dear. She has read the posts for your information. Though it may not be right that the person is continuously rubbing it in everyone's face that he/she is constantly winning and isn't going to stop, either way, if you don't like it, then report it. If you are on test try reporting it to Disney. Her "2 cents" was logical in thinking and I agree with it. If by chance you have already reported it and have gotten nothing in return, it's probably because Disney is working very hard to deal with it. Disney is by far no miracle worker, which is why test is available to try new things before they are placed on open and to try and "hack" the system so they know what to block my dear. Are people going to use the system to their advantage while they still can and win? Yes, of course they would. As you stated, they didn't just get it for a one time deal, we know this. Disney does as well. So before you go off and try to "burn" this person's post, think again because your the one who crashed and burned. If you have a problem with a supposed cheater or hacker in test, report it and sit back. Don't read the person's thread if you don't like it. They are posting to get some feed back and with people out there making it known that they don't like it only encourages the cheaters and hackers to continue. I'm glad that they found a way to hack the system and cheat, and I'm also glad they are continuing to do it. Want to know why?? If by chance they quit cheating and all that when people gripe about it, Disney would not fully know if what work they have done has fixed the problem or not. GSW is a work in progress... its being worked on everyday. Have some patience and you should READ the long post before you post your "burn". You implied you didn't even read it.
