People taking test too seriously?

I don't understand why people take test as seriously as they do. I agree that the purpose of test is to find bugs and report them, and I do my share, but some of the people on ttc seem to think of test too seriously.
Lots of people seem to think that the only thing their supposed to do on test is report bugs 24/7. They say that test is their duty not their privelege.
They frown upon people who race just to blow off some steam and have some fun because they feel that these people aren't doing their job. My philosophy on test is to play the game normally and submit any bugs I come across, but I'm willing to have fun while I do it. After all, isn't that what tt is about?

On the other hand, you've got the people who think that test is just a way for people to get a sneak preview of new stuff before it comes out on Open. I don't think that is right either. They play it only for fun, and complain when they stumble across a glitch. They forget that this is test and you're supposed to be TESTING.

So, my point is: Do your best to find glitches and bugs, but make sure to have fun with it!

Exactly! Testers are here to find the glitches the developers miss before the new content is released to the general servers. And we are supposed to test out the whole game during new releases, not just the new content. You never know how a new playground will effect older aspects of the game!

I have to agree with you.I think Disney has many reasons for putting people on test and those who take it to extremes only make it more difficult for Disney. These games have already been tested by people who get paid to do so.I think this last test is only to smooth out bugs that show up with a quantity of players and graphics cards in action. There are programmers checking out these games while we are playing.I think Disney can judge who they want on test and why.I just have fun and report what I can.

Exactly. Remember the issues with sb hq when they put in cash hq. Omg, couldnt get thru a factory or a vp... and sb hq had been there forever. So if everyone was only checking out the new content, how would we have ever known that this was gonna happen!

I have done vp since GSW was put on, but couldnt find enough to do cfo. Done mints and factorys, all seems to be fine.

Did you find that sell vp was really laggy like I did? I think i had been on test for awhile tho, so my hard drive may have been thrashing. Bu tthe sad thing is - I can play on open for about hours before things get bad, but on test its only about 2 hours. Must be a bad memory leak due to GFS - hope they get it fixed. Takes a lot to make a gig of ram need swap space and then fill that too...

I have found the same thing. When we VPed that night it was so laggy and I had just rebooted. It concerns me when we are encountering this lag with top notch computers, I would hate to be the person who has this 3 year old computer playing TT.

I know Disney will fix that (at least I hope so)
