I agree about lowering the amount of merits you need for sellbot, not just in test, but on open also. Since Cashbot HQ came out, the sellbot factory and VP have gotten easier, with lower level cogs, yet you still need the same amount of merits to advance to the next level of your cog suit. When you do the mints, you can be awarded over 600 bucks for doing 1 mint, yet you only get 180+ merits max for doing a long factory.

I totally agree and have sent in numerous bug reports and complaints.
Disney apparently doesn't care as all I have ever gotten back have been the standard "form" replies. My attitude is all of us working merits should grab every sell building we see and also exclude smaller toons when we do factory runs. It isn't hard to make 600 merits an hour if you don't have noobs to slow you down. If enough of us do this, perhaps this will increase the complaints from people who need factories, minglers and the LOM tasks. If enough people are complaining, perhaps Disney will take notice. (not holding my breath )

This has been hashed and rehashed ever since CHQ came out. Disney has made their decision and have responded to several peoples emails. (Those replies were posted prior to many of you getting onto test)
One thing that came out of it is an understanding that the merit/buck system is the way it is simply because Disney is not finished with the game and needs a way to keep people from reaching the toons limit in a timely manner. If you look at the major updates that occur, they have been spaced at least a year apart for each of them. I would not be suprised if we did not see anything new until next winter or spring. It will take that long at least for many to even come close to maximizing. I believe more will be accomplished sending your complaints about the merit problem to the open part of the game. I was told by Disney that the test complaints and the open complaints are handled be a different division. The paying customer is more likely to get a response and usually does. Also, I believe, the open complaints, when pooled, bear more force for change. Still, don't stop sending them in to the devs. Have fun!

I am currently on my last 5500 merits for sell HQ, this is for my 50 suit, and final LP boost. Even after all the "Free" VP's and CFO's, I was nowhere close on my sell suit. Cash was new, so it was CFO runs nonstop.
This is my 2nd 5500 on test since the lowering of the cog merits. At 194 merits for a full factory, that is an enormous amount of runs. AND--------> BOOORRRINNNGGG. But in Disney's defense, high level LP toons put in the work, and are rewarded for the work they do. If it means 5500 merits for One LP. You betcha I'll do it. This is seemingly easy compared to fishing LPs. Try catching 70 fish, 2 months and 1 new fish.......I can have my 5500 merits done in 3-4 days. Fishing retirement here I come!!! |

First off, isn't Toontown designed for kids?
Tell me.. what kid is going to have the patience to spend hours upon hours gaining merits when the factory now gives so little and 5story bldgs are few and far between? What kid is going to have the patience *fishing brought up* to spend hours upon hours, buckets after buckets not catching that next new species? I as an adult, find the difficulties reaching that next level, frustrating, annoying and simply not worth it (especially the fishing since it makes me fall asleep). Did Disney forget their intentions for this interactive online game was designed for children? What was in Disney's head when they decided to make things so difficult, frustrating and to some, not worth it to finish something to succeed to the next level? Ah, so many questions, so many complaints sent in and for what? Not a darn thing. |

Bad thing about level 12 in Sell or Cash - 5500 merits/bucks for absolutely NO reward. |
