Hopefully...a new perspective

I am one of the testers who was fortunate to join test in December. I had heard before joining descriptions of test as a lonely place where because of the small population task completion was a challenge.

A couple of days after creating my toon, I found myself in DG with no sfs and the sell factory looming. To my great fortune a big toon approached me in the playground and offered to help (via speedchat). That toon and his incredible wife set a course for me on test thru their example that I am more grateful for than they may ever know. (Thanks Master Chip and Lady Bumblebee). Thanks a million times over.

That said, from there I began to make sf's and very quickly had a full list of the most wonderful people. Every time I logged in I marveled at the wonderful spirit of teamwork, the incredible playing skills and the enthusiatic spirit of my fellow players.

For the next two weeks as many of us built toons I observed example after example of generosity, thoughtfulness and just plain good spirited fun. I have tried to honor the example set by those I have encountered and to learn.

I had not paid much attention to the ttc forums pre-test, but as I began to hear people refer to things appearing here I realized that I should and I have tried to do so more recently.

Then out comes the cfo. Suddenly, it seems the challenge of the game is as much about avoiding hurting someones feelings as it is about figuring out how to beat those cogs.

When the group I was with defeated the cfo that night pre-update, it was a thrill. So many had put in so many hours, beans and so much energy.

The group I have been running with has been running so fast at times my head spins. I can't speak for what motivates each of them, but I thank each and every person who I play with for allowing me to join in the fun. And to those I have yet to meet, I look forward to defeating cogs with you soon.

Just a different slant from a new tester. And good luck to all.

This is a nice perspective. Other then the whole elevator shuffling thing. I love being on test, aside from a few mishaps. Most of the people on test have been great and that includes sfs and NON sfs. When I first got on to test it could be a tick lonely so I try to help new testers along the way, I'm glad I was able to help you.

I too must add that I have had some great fun with everyone on test, and I have not had too many negative experiences. LB - thanks for the CFO fun yesterday

I am one of the December add ons, and I am doing everything I can to build my toon. These visit tasks are getting to be a pain in the butt for cash parts. But I intend to have a full suit and full laff when they lock out the CFO

To be perfectly honest, I thought she was just selling flowers there in DG. Next thing I know she is not the cute little soft spoken flower selling duck anymore. But rather a cake throwing hard nose cog buster that looks eye to eye with that CFO in her rather dapper Robber Baron 50 suit. And ya know something....I still have not received those flowers.

CFO made me sad though on one account. And that was the friends list issue. So many new potential friends and not enough space.

It still makes me laugh the night you and Zilly were going on about pickles - and someone ordered pizza and I thought it was pickle pizza. LOL hehehehe

No Pickles for Master Chip!

No!!! He may get excited and call forth Homely again.

Food for thought: Doesn't every cucumber aspire to be a pickle someday?
