Merits in Mint?

When CHQ was released, I ran through each of the different Mints a few times with my bigger toon and on the very first run through the first Mint (closest to entrance), I was awarded all merits for my first Cash suit. As we've all noticed, none of us seems to be getting parts yet.

Yesterday I was running my smaller toon through the Mints - she has been through the center and far Mint at least a couple of times each and has yet to receive any Merits. As far as I can remember I have not taken her through the first Mint yet.

While talking with some friends last night, they also noticed that their bigger toons had Merits, but their smaller toons had not received any yet. I would be interested to hear if anyone else has noticed the same thing happening. Of course we started speculating that maybe Merits had been disabled, maybe your toon had to have a certain Sellbot Cog Suit etc etc...

I will take my smaller toon through the first Mint later today to see if she is awarded merits this time. Just to clarify, my smaller toon is out of the Brrrgh and working on DDL tasks - has TP access to DDL, carries 70 gags and 150 beans.

I was thinking (up until I read your last paragraph) that maybe they weren't awarding merits to those not out of the Brrgh yet, because I did not get merits either. My toon is about 1/2 way through TB. But when you said that your smaller toon, who is in DDL, didn't get any, it might be a bug. I submitted a report when I noticed I didn't get any after my runs. I haven't heard back from them about it. It may very well be that you have to be finished with all other Dreamland tasks before you can start working towards CBHQ, then again, they're far from finished with it yet, so we'll have to wait and see.

Nope... I have all the merits for CHQ, am only a 66, and in the middle of LOM, so obviously haven't left the Brrrgh. Daughter is about the same, but got merits when she was a 55.

I've been through 3 times and have yet to recieve any merits. My toon is on the last DDL task to carry 80 gags. I'm still a bit confused as to how merits/parts will work. I chalked up not receiving merits to not having parts or that the merits/parts system is disabled at this time.

I'd take my smaller toon to the mint but since speed running has been nixed, it will take him a few days to crawl to CBHQ!

I gather the system just isn't in place yet, getting merits for no suit?
My toon has gotten merits too, he's just finishing up in DDL. I can't wait for the suit parts, but they're probably holding them back until they're ready for us to vp.

Ok, here's what I'm thinking. There have been 2 Cash HQ updates, could it be that perhaps the merits were disabled somehow in the second update? I got merits in the first update but maybe I'll try running another toon through now that we're in the second one.

I think you're right. I think maybe it was a mistake for toons to get merits before the suit, and they 'fixed' it.

For what it's worth. I was out of town over the weekend and added CBHQ with sv1.0.15.5.test.

Maybe no merits for bad dogs and ugly monkeys!

Merits being disabled makes the most sense to me right now...

Because of my schedule (and going sad in the ink room) I only made it through the short run once on that first day. Since the next big update I have been through all the entrances several times. However my merit count appears stuck at exactly half. It shows 20/40 merits and does not change. Hmm, strange....

My husband's toon is smaller, and he went through several times. He got 20 merits the first time ( first day it was out) The other times he didn't receive any merits . I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that he is still working in TB? My daughter is at about the same place though, and I believe she got all her merits on the first day. My husband only went one time through on the first day.

I did get all my merits on the first day. That's why I think they changed it with the update and it was a mistake on their part in the first place. The merits are supposed to be the LAST thing you get not the first!! At least it has been in the past

My merits were also awarded on the first day...I forgot to make that clear in my original post. Bug, mistake, who knows...but hopefully we'll get some clue about parts "quests" and merits soon.
