Kid Bugs: You Rock!

A big thanks for taking our little test toons through one of the mints (I was Cricket Thunderquack, 55 laff, and my friend was Yellow Nana Monkey, 46 laff). You were so helpful and so patient lol, considering how long it took Nana Monkey to jump up on that big gear Also, thanks for helping me defeat my last two 8+ cogs after we got out. You are awesome!!

Woah, Kid Bugs does that kind of stuff? Every time I see him, he's just kinda of, you know, there. He like doesn't do much. It's pretty funny acttually.

His other side, EKB, is even funnier though. You say Hello he says "Grr", you say Thanks, he says "Grr". LOL....

...how long it took Nana Monkey to jump up on that big gear ...

We need to check, I think the jumping may be a disadvantage for small Toons.

Taller Toons (like Kid Bugs) have no problem in that room simply jumping on to the last crate, and going straight through. I suspect smaller Toons can't.

Also, in the paint mixer rooms, I'm thinking the same thing is happening. With the lag on my game 'puter, there is no way that I can manage to cross that room the expected way. Instead, I just run across to the last platform, jump on it, then out.

I have seen people keep trying to get through by jumping on the platforms, and when they miss they go back to where they started to try again, instead of just walking to the last platform. It mystified me, but maybe their Toons can't manage to jump onto the platform once they fall.

Oh Boy !!!

Oh Boy .. now I feel really dumb. **** Run through the die and jump onto the last platform instead of starting over at the beginning. **** <taking notes>

I'll be back later .. I have to go get some aspirin for the headache I developed from banging my head against the wall. DUH !!

The first time I went through that room I tried doing the lag jumping onto the far platform, like we do in the lava room in SBHQ. I lost laffs so fast, and never did jump up. I was also doing that from my big PC, which tends to work a lot better then my laptop. Needless to say, I went sad. I still may try other ways to jump, as I seem to be very clumsy at going from gear to gear.

My Mood:
I have tried again and again to just jump onto the last crate but it doesn't seem to work for any of my toons. I can time the gear jumps perfectly if I don't rush myself. I'm still working on the platform timing but getting better at it. It sure helps if I remember to actually hit Jump instead of just falling off the edge! LOL

It sounds like it is more a function of lag than of Toon height.

I guess it sorta makes up for some parts of the game being 100% unplayable if you are lagging.

I run across the paint to the last platform too but I can only jump onto that platform from one side, and that's the side from where you would normally be approaching it if you were jumping across. I cannot jump onto it from the left or right or opposite side of that platform.

Weather you can jump up onto the platform, or you have to start over, has to do with the speed of your computer. If you have a slow computer, you will be able to jump up there, if not, you have to do the obstcal (sp?) the way it was meant to be done.

The gear jumping thing has nothing to do with how tall a toon is either. I am a short, fat duck. Even if I start last, I get to the end first. I am VERY fast at doing the obstcals and I have to sit there and wait for everyone else to finish.

It's apparently not totally dependent on that, because Yellow Nana Monkey (the original jumper mentioned) has more lag than anyone I know lol. She tried hard to do it the way Kid Bugs was showing her. Beats me.

Maybe she has TOO MUCH lagg. On my mom's Windows 98 computer, you can jump up there. On my grandama's 96, it's so slow you can't jump up there.

Probably has DSL or something. All I know, is that on my old computer (the 98) I could jump over things that I can't jump over on mine or my brother's computer. We have newer computers.

This seems similar to my experience with the Lava in the Sell factory. On my older slower computer I could jump out of the Lava and on my newer one I cant.
