Mega Lag

I have been getting awful lag every time I go into the cash factory (I start out ok but it gets worse as I go on) and even just playing on test. I have a cablemodem and a pretty good computer so I am not sure if it is me or TT Test. Anyone else having issues like that?

I too am having worse lag issues on test now that the CashHQ has opened. I can do two vault runs but then have to shut down and restart. It has been very frustarting.

Wow, I thought it was just me. Several times now I have had to reboot my computer after a couple of runs. Usually happens as I port out of the mint.

I also have had no trouble with lag in the Mint. This is very strange, because any time I do a VP battle on open or test I have to turn off my anti-virus.

Well I submitted it as a bug report so we'll see what happens.. I went in and cleaned up my files on this comp but I doubt that is the issue as I had a ton of memory unused. i wont have time to chek that till this afternoon.

Same here. The Cash HQ gets me all laggy but then, turning on my computer does that too...wussy thing.

IMO...the memory leak has accelerated again the way it did when SHQ opened. My Toontown memory usage rises as my game time increases so I still restart TT periodically to flush the memory.

Ah ok. I never had to do the rebooting thing before but I will try it for now. Thanks

It's the Memory Leak

The Toontown.exe memory leak has gotten MUCH worse. If I play for awhile, I end up with TT taking about 400MB of memory. That just makes for horrible lag. And it doesn't go away quickly when you shut down TT. It just sits there processing the memory for a LONG time. So you have to reboot the whole PC.

SENT A BUG REPORT TO DISNEY!!!! It's the only way to get it fixed.

I found that quitting the toon menu AND closing my Internet browser flushes the Toontown memory hold without rebooting the OS (running win2k).

And yes, I agree... report it, report it, report it.

I don't have the worlds greatest computer and I've always had some lag after playing for a while. I've probably got the minimum requirements to play, or slightly over, as far as RAM and processing speed go. I've always had terrible lag in VP pie fight. When I got my test account, I noticed it was worse than it was on open and it gets very laggy for me when I'm in a busy area (lots of toons). Since the addition of the CBHQ, I can barely do two or three buildings before I have to reboot. I've gotten stuck twice in a building so bad that I almost missed getting on the elevator to the next floor. The last time, I barely made it right as the timer reached zero to go to the 5th floor. (I was about to make a nasty phone call to Disney on that one...lol) There have been several occassions where I have had to unplug my computer from the wall. Now, THAT'S bad!!

I've done some playing around with the virtual memory settings on my pc and have some issues with the whole TT "memory leak" thing. I've now got my paging file sitting on an entirely separate drive . (not a partition, a whole separate drive.) It has noticably improved the overall performance of my pc, but it hasn't done a thing to help Toontown. Now, i'm not a real big techie, so I could be way off but wouldn't the drive that my swap file resides on be the drive that goes nuts when TT starts getting real laggy? I hardly hear that drive making a sound but my regular "c" drive that TT resides on goes mental as usual when I start experiencing lag. Does
TT have it's own virtual memory settings somewhere? Or is it something else that's causing my PC to have seizures?

Instead of my paging file drive, which doesn't seem to be getting used at all while I play, my regular harddrive is getting accessed and chattering like crazy.

Well, my mom and I had the same issues yesterday for the first time. I was curious how to 'cure' the problem. Didn't report it, but I will now. Thought that maybe it was something else we both were using.

You right Snick. This has occured and it eats memory at an alarming rate. I have measured this and sent in a bug report on it a couple days ago with my results.

Happened to me again today. After I had been on for a while I logged out and got offline, then went back and I was fine.
