Is Test fixed?

Are you able to jump into buildings and survive without crashing at this point?

Buildings are intentionally broke

They don't want us doing buildings on test for some reason..

I say this for 3 reasons:
1) as soon as the elevator doors close, the game terminates. The next screen on the browser says something about an unexpected termination and that you may need to update the graphics driver in your video card. This message could be more helpful, and shows a lack of any problem determination/ problem source identification prior to the message issuance.
2) leaderboard stats have been all reset...zeroed out
3) only non-task buildings have been allowed to be taken in all playgrounds. I say this because I've been able to take a new toon all the way to Final Gag training in Donald's Dock. There's no need to defeat a building until Ahab needs light for his Solar Panel. I was able to complete all tasks through TTC and DD up to this point without having to even switch districts to avoid a Cog Building being a shop I needed to enter.

My guess is that the internal format of how our toon stats are kept is changing with respect to building stats and they don't want us accumulating additional points recorded in the prior format. This could be a lengthy (and problematic) conversion, one that I'd want to see done without errors.

just a guess,.... Keep Smiling, ...Bear

builds

still broke still waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too got my new toon to DD, but now its stuck at the first point you have to take a building.
I know we 've all moaned about a building shortage but this seems a strange way to increase them.

Hmmm, if you have done TTC and DD, you have not done "all playgrounds", and since an update of I-forget-how-long-ago TTC task buildings never get cogged. Thirdly, given that nobody is on Test I am not a bit surprised there were no cog buildings in task shops - there were probably very few buildings anywhere.

The "they don't want us" is ENTIRELY justified. It has been a week of bug reports about the cog-buildings-kick-out and they have STILL not found the bug? Puhleeeease

No shortage of buildings.. They are everywhere... many more buildings in TTC than normal. Cog Fodder II is on the 20 4+story building task. I'm not only noticing buildings, I'm making mental notes of where the 4 story ones are.

I haven't been everywhere, but I've completed all visitation tasks in DD with the exception of Ahab, and can't complete because a building is required. The locations involved with Quarterdeck and Dime, Barbara's Barnacle Bargains, Billy Budd's, Melville's Missenmast and Ahab's (about 10 locations in DD total), and none were cog buildings... This is a first in my experience (across 6-7 toons). Completing DD without buildings does require me to range into other playgrounds a little. I've looked in DG, MM, and TB for gladhanders, mover and shakers as tasks (it did say anywhere). I don't think that this sample is too bias.

Why keep us out of buildings is anybody's guess. It would have been nice to have a message as to what they doing and when they expect to be done.

Keep Smiling, ...Bear

Humm, only non-task bldg?

Oh No! I wish your theory was right!

I need to visit Anna's Cruises. Screen shot taken in Test Town, 5 minutes ago. Fortunately there is another district.

First, it looks like the Cogs are not taking over any more buildings. I'm pretty sure that the buildings that are Cog-ified were there after the update (i.e. server reset).

Second, I can verify that Task-related buildings have been Cog-ified, Notations in Test Valley is Cog. It's okay in Test Town, though.

Third, the distribution is a bit funny. The number of Cog buildings in TTC streets is inconsistent (from 1 to 4 buildings per street, total 5 in one district, 8 in the other), but the other streets almost all have exactly 5 Cog buildings. The exceptions are Maple in Test Town (3 buildings), and Alto in Test Valley (6 buildings).

There were 3-4 total Toons online while I was checking this out. Over this period of time, with no Cog buildings being taken down, there would normally be more buildings than this on most streets. That's why I say that it looks like there have been no buildings taken over by Cogs since the update.

Bear's idea

I like Bear Bryants thought that they are setting the new format for building 'points' given the new coming soon item about helping low laff toons with buidlings - perhaps the old format did not allow for the game keeping track of who you did the buildings with...

This may be a bug in that roll out - whatever it is ... lol... my test toon is SOOOOO bored

And as a bonus it's a 4 story.... As soon as the building moratorium is lifted, CF will be happy to help liberate Anna....

I can't be correct all the time, but I like batting better than 500.
