Alteration to mint?

Just did a mint on test, and when we reached the room of four battles (The one where you can usually skip the middle two), I tried to sneak past one of the battles, but I got dragged it in. Did they change the mint to make this battle necessary?

As far as I know, you can only skirt one set of the cogs in the middle of the mint pipe room. You have to battle, at least, 3 sets of them. This was done quite a long time ago.

Were you trying to sneek past them on to the left of the right group? That has been fixed since Golf came out.

You can no longer run along the inside diamond-shaped wall to avoid engaging the cogs, but you can pass them by running along the outer wall of the room.
