I think that the 45 min intervals are too far apart. You are right that toons have been leaving earlier and earlier. Peeps are getting antsy waiting 25 mins between the finish of one and the start of the other.
Also, while the majority of toons are aware of the schedule, there are some that perhaps don't come here and aren't aware that there is a specific scheduled time. I also have some East Coast friends that can barely make it as late as the times are for them so they try to go a little early at times. This doesn't seem to be a problem on the Sunday runs with only 30 mins in between. Lastly, some may be looking at 9:15 as being the boarding time, while others see it as the time that you walk inside the vault or whatever. I'd suggest going with the flow. If there are plenty of toons for several loads then why wait? It's just a few mins anyway. |

I also feel that the 45 minutes in between runs is way too long. I think 30 minutes is plenty of time to do a boss battle. After talking with quite a few of my friends, we all hoped the time would be changed. I for one can never make the CJ run, because of the time. I do see a lot of toons show up right at the time, but I don't see why they wouldn't show up at 15 minutes earlier. One other reason that I think it would be nice, more time to spend after the battles to do a mint or DA. As it stands right now, there is no time to do anything in between. Plus most toons have already gotten there merits, bux and notices prior to doing VP.
I love the runs each night, thank you to those who make it possible!

But, what about the VP?
I agree that perhaps the runs could be 30 minutes apart. But, what about toons leaving early for the VP?

Well I don't see too much leaving early for the VP, but I'm sure it happens. I'm not sure how much time that is considered to be too early but if it is a minute or 2, I'm not sure that that is too bad. Some clocks may be set wrong or in my case I don't have a clock in front of me. So if I hear "Let's Go", I assume its time. A previous poster said that some toons may think that the time is when to load elevator, rather than leave the pit. Either way, maybe there needs to be more clarification and the time re-thought out to help alleviate some of these issues. I'm pretty sure most toons are not doing any of this intensionally. Most have busy lives that are always in need of attention. Sometimes sitting around and waiting just seems like a waste of time.

Yeah, I had that happen last night... But it was, (as usual), my own fault. In RL, I am early for most things, but in TT, I usually slide in under the wire, where time is concerned. Last night, I popped on in between hanging outdoor Christmas lights, to go on the CFO run, (9:15pm Cenral time), and a SF whispered and asked if I was going. I was all casual, thinking I had almost 10 minutes until "departure time," looking at my wall clock, but when she said, "You'd better hurry, they all went in," I looked at my computer clock and realized it was only 3 minutes away. I tried to TP to her, but she was already in. I told her, "NP : )," because I really had cut it too close. *shrugs* I guess I am in the thinking that as much as I think it is rude that people leave before the scheduled time, (which to me, is leaving the pit/stairs area), I am equally as rude popping up at the last minute, screwing up the count and how to divide groups. So, I TRY to show up 5 minutes prior to the scheduled run and don't leave the pit/stairs until the clock on my PC says the exact go-time. Even if others go in, I wait until my PC clock says the go time... Yes, it has had me left behind a few times, but it doesn't bother me because I feel it's the right thing to do, for me and my conscience, and I just find something else to do. If we get done with a previous battle quickly, leaving 20 minutes or so before the next battle, I golf, fish, buy things, turn in tasks etc... Or patch boo-boo's, kiss kids goodnight and tuck them in, break up battles amongst my teenage boys, make a pot of coffee, fold some laundry or pay some bills...And show up 5 minutes prior... Or atleast that is my plan.
If the battles are too late for some people, maybe another person who is a dedicated TT player can make, (and be at), another set of times for Boss Battles. (?) Just a thought.

I've always wondered if we could do an in between set? If there were enough toons on? Test is seeming to be more populated. I'm west coast- so the AM runs are when I'm sending my child off to school. The ones at night conflict with practices and dinner. I can only occasionally make the runs. But it is just me and I can be the odd man out no problem. |

With Boss HQ coming soon, I see no need to redo the schedules again. We left time between the battles so that people could use the restroom, get a beverage, tuck a kid in, etc. I think that the current schedule has the best turnouts of any we have had yet, and ask that people wait to leave the pit/deck/whatever until the scheduled time. A new schedule will come when Boss is released, and we can think about shortening the time after the VP then. I, personally, like to not be rushed between battles, but if the majority of toons want to make it a half hour between vp and cfo... the new schedule (after Boss has opened) will reflect it.

my 2 cents
I would like to point out that some of us who have keys have a tendency to wait and load after the other groups in order to help anyone who may be left behind. This often means we end up loading with an elevator that is not full, and therefore that boss battle takes longer. On Sundays when the battles are 30 minutes apart, that often means I would miss the CFO or CJ if I did not have friends waiting for me to tp to them.

last night at vp we left on time there was 3 groups I loaded with the last group as I always like to go last to make sure everyone gets on wheather I need it or not on any of my toons I' ll be the first one to bail out and cfo we left I think 2 minutes early like I said before I usually go last but last night my friends coax me to go with them in the first group which I should of waited I was on Angelique but they insisted that they wanted to play with me and cj I don't know what happen there since philly and Delilah working their 14000 notes and Angelique 420 notes so I couldn't go to cj as far as the timing in between battles sometimes I need that extra time to get what I need before another boss battle and to stretch my legs a little from me having Rheumatoid Arthritis. and need to walk it off once in awhile sitting for a long period of time becomes very painful for me so if it was me who did anything wrong at cfo I'm sorry I stick for now on in going last lol

After reading through all the posts and views, only thing I think I can add other then agreeing that changes aren't needed at this time. I'm one that needs to tuck in my daughter, get a drink and stretch while I'm at it.
Lila, we all noticed you do the same as we do (make sure those needing promo have a chance to go) I think we all agree and understand going with friends is nice, always nice to see you on the last load though! |

I have a suggestion for CJ only, when there are 8 toons waiting and it is still 10 minutes before the posted time, they should go. If other toons come during the last few minutes the maxed 50 usually load last or dont get to go. What are others thoughts for CJ ?

When people go early it really confuses me
.....and its not that hard to do either......I ike to wait til the exact time of departure, unless im waiting on my friends to finish whatever it is they r doin so they can tp. I don't mind the times at all.....It gives me time to go potty, get a soda, and stretch out my legs, back, and neck so i can be able to play without my body giving me troubles. Another thing to that I luv about it is: not always do u get the same people for each of the battles its nice to see everyone, SF's and Non SF's.Hop Along Becca Dippy DIzzy Dizzendorf Monkey Business Trapped Livin Large |
