I recommend you read the game FAQs before you post again.

Not to be rude, but we've had a lot of the same questions recently, and we're all getting a little tired of answering them. For your question, I'd read the What is the Test Server? and the How can I be a Test Toon? They will answer those questions. Please peruse the site faqs as well. Anything not in there, and we'll be glad to help.

Actually, I can probably verify that it's not in this case. Besides the fact that the avatar is one of the ones on the list that anyone can select, Cool Pancake is one of my friends in the game that just sort of discovered the site yesterday.

Smile Just a friendly reminder =)

Lets keep in mind some toons who post here are young adults and may need the kindness of your experience shared with them about the game and this site......

Let's also keep in mind that almost every site on the net has FAQs for the same reason: so incoming readers can understand what the site is about and how it works. Cool Pancake had obviously not read the FAQs. That's all I'm asking.

Ok, I dunno if it was yesterday, but I assumed it was, because he suddenly mentioned it.

Besides, how can this be the same guy? He thought that you had to pay to get on Test, and none of the other ones did.

I don't think this was the same guy you're thinking about. Cool Pancake has been a member since Nov. 11th & has done a total of 16 post since then. Not all in one day. That means that he has done on average less than ONE post a day. Maybe he doesn't get on here that much & didn't see the other posts in regards to testing. Yes, it seems true that he didn't read the FAQ in regards to where to post, etc, but really how many of us did? LOL

That's why we have moderators, & why we have people who hopefully will tell them kindly that they aren't posting to the right forum. Hopefully, they'll get the hang of it. It really isn't too hard once your read the discriptions of the forums to figure out where you need to post your information. SOME people unfortunately don't get it even after several reminders and/or warnings.

To answer his question on testing:

1) You don't pay for testing but you do have to pay for an account as far as I understand.

2) You have to sign up for test. This can take a while to be accepted. It took them 5-6 months for them to finally accept me. Others are lucky & get in very quickly. I think timing has everything to do with it!

3) Testing isn't all it's cracked up to be. You have to know how to sumbit bug reports, give detailed information, be able to relay how & what you were doing when you stuck, crashed, or were just walking around. While the bug reports right now are slowly dying down because they've worked out at least most of the major bugs in test, you still have to submit what you can to make the transition to Open (which is where everyone plays) as easy as possible.

As a parent who allows my kids on ToonTown as well as TTC, I hope they are not attacked for asking a silly question.

Lets not forget the fact that this is a kids game, and that adults just happen to be allowed to play.

Yep.
And in defence of the kids, the grownups don't read the FAQ's or stickies either...

Sometimes it's easier to ask then to read through all of the info here, and there is a lot of it!
