shovel laff point boost

i thought i saw somewhere that once you had 40 shovel points you got a laff boost? i have 50 and still same lp. thx

You get a laff boost from planting, growing and selling 10 different flower types. Once you reach 40 shovel points you should stop planting 1 bean flowers and move on to the 2 bean combo's. There is a stickied thread on this, here is a Link

i had 30 shovel points. and didn't go "sell" my flowers until i had 20 in my basket. i now have 50 shovel points and no laff boost. i sent in a bug but if anyone is close can you do the same thing? just to see?

When you have 10 DIFFERENT kinds of flowers you get a Laff Boost...

You only get the laff boost when you have collected 10 different species of flowers (that's 5 one bean flowers and 5 2 bean flowers)...when you get to 40shovel points all you get is the ability to plant 2 bean combo flowers. So, up to now you only have 5 species of flowers.

The laff boost comes from the flower type, not from the shovel points. After 40 shovel points, you can start to plant the next 5 types of flowers (2 bean combo's). After you sell the 2 beans combos, you will have 10 different flower types and will get your laff boost.

I see what you mean. If you have 50 dig points you should have your laff boost. After you reach 40 dig points, you have to plant the 2 bean variety in order to get any more dig points. So since you have 50 pts, you had to have planted the next 5 (2 bean) flower varieties to make the 10 you need for your laff boost. It does sound like a bug to me.

Like everyone else said you only get laff boosts from planting.Every 10 plants you get you get a point and you only get 4 points from gardening which means you need 40 different flowers.Each 10 and thats 1 point.

As some of the above posters have said, the above is possible if you never planted all the possible combinations. I.e., you could have done all the 1 beans flowers for four days, then planted 10 lily pads. After harvesting, you would have 50 shovel points, but only 6 varieties of flowers, and no laff boost.

What if you planted the same 2 or 3 2-bean flowers over and over? You still can get to 50 shovel pts with out getting 10 unique flowers and the Laff boost.

Varmint is correct - you have to have 10 UNIQUE species to get the first laff boost. Make sure you plant at least ONE each of the combo - whichever amount you are up to. I usually just plant two of each - keeps it simple for me.

Yes, you are right. I hadnt thought about that. Thanks to the generous people who shared the combinations, I just planted one of each of what was posted. Now that I have all the combinations possible for the dig level Im at, I just plant all 10 flowers of one variety to make it easier.

Me too... I plant the easiest combo over and over...
