I think I may have figured out watering...

Before test went down, I planted a garden. On the right side I watered it as much as possible (8 times). The other side I only watered a few times (I can't remember how much). Then I took a few days' break from Toontown. The side I had watered to the extreme was doing well and still had water left. The other side had turned to sand and the flowers had wilted. So I think the more you water a mound, the longer it can last without being rewatered.

I'm still unclear as to whether additional watering still gives you skill.

As I see it you only get skill points to a certain level - +8 on a newly planted flower or tree and then it seems that it is +1 on each subsequent day for anything already planted. You can gain an extra 10 points by watering your flowers before you pick them.
I am hoping that watering 8 times at planting will allow you to NOT have to water again for 8 days.
Is that clear as mud? Like my garden from so much watering LOL

I'm still watering a few times a day, but I dont really know what is going on. If I water twice in one visit, it shows a plus one on my can in upper left corner of screen, but when I look in my book, I don't get credit for watering extra. And for some reason, I seem to never get book credit for watering trees.

One watering = One Day

So, you can water each flower and tree EIGHT TIMES when you plant them the first time.

That way, they will not need to be watered for eight days.

Each new day, the dirt mound around the trees and flowers will have dried out.

You can water again on that day and gain another +1 for watering can skill.

One of my rare non test posts on gardening.

All this is subject to change as gardening is not finalized on TEST yet.

You never know, everything that has been written on gardening could all be changed tomorrow. I doubt it. But you never know.

I have a couple of questons-
is there any advantage to the toon for watering-I understand the advantage to the plant- but does it matter to the toons if all my watering is done by one toon? I mean, one of my toons has the huge watering can, but it doesn't seem to help her in any way that I can tell. Also, is there an advantage to picking the gags off the trees, if you don't need them? Or is is just as good if you leave them on the tree? My big toon has not picked her little gags- as she has no need for waterguns, etc. If she picked them, would the big gags come in faster?

You need to determine if there is one particular toon that you want to grow quickly toward laff boost and gardening skill. As of yet, I haven't heard of what bonus we get for maxing our watering skill to 999. Is it a laff boost? Who knows?!

I don't want any of my toons to be left behind in growth, so I am letting each toon do their own estate garden.

I water my trees once a day after the original 8pt watering when they were planted. My flowers are harvested everyday to gain the skill credit and flower album growth.
