Which gags do you have planted?

Hi all,
Okay I am a little dense about this gardening thing
At first when I read the players guide it made it sound as if when I dug up a tree and planted a new one I would not be able to harvest from the new one, this didn't make any sense to me.
Now that I re-read it I am thinking it is trying to say I have to plant trees from one gag track in order to use the higher level trees.
Ex: I have to plant banana then rake then marbles but if I dig up the banana tree I can no longer harvest the rake and marbles.
Well I think I may have just had a revelation, but please let me know if I am getting this right or not.
Also I haven't harvested plants from my trees often because it gives me like 10 instead of the 3 I want. How do I get only what I want? I would hate to think that I would have to TP to the Gag Shop to throw some out and then TP back to my estate to pick a different gag etc. I am sorry to say I haven't developed a green thumb yet so any advice would be welcome.

There is no way to control how many you get when you pick. It will fill up how ever many spaces you have left. Also, you have it right...you have to have all of the trees planted from one gag track in order for them all to work. If you dig up the banana, none of the others will work anymore.

I have lure planted on ZZ and CB. I've toyed with digging them up every time they wilt(and yes, it happens a lot). But I never have gone through with it. I am more tempted on ZZ, as she has trap...it would be nice to have the train to pick.

I have visions of my lure never hitting ever again if I dig up my trees, though. LOL

Well, its better than it used to be! When the gag trees first came out, it would let you pick them when your gag bag was full!

I always thought it would be nice it you could sell them back to the gag shop, trade them in for gags that you want ... I almost never harvest anything except the level 7. Too much trouble.

I have lure planted. I have found it makes a significant difference in the accuracy. I originally planted throw, then did sound. I think lure is it for me -- I love picking those presentations.

Penny Sniffleklunk has throw planted. She loves picking up her wedding cake everyday.

Petunia has squirt planted I wanted something different but might change it once she has all her gags up and running.

My toons do have a hard time keeping those trees and flowers watered. So thankful for MMP who comes over and helps me water them :0)

I had lure planted on my biggest toon Ladybug,well it misses alot,so i removed them and planted drop.

Yes you got it right. The end result is with a maximum of 8 trees you can plant 1 entire gag track with 1 spot left-over. The extra spot is virtually useless as you can only plant a lvl 1 gag UNLESS you master the glitch of planting 2 lvl 7 gag trees (great thread by Starwolf explains it very well somewhere here in ATTA section).

Most ppl do not pick any tree but the lvl 7... its not that expensive to just go to the gag shop. Being able to pick 2 lvl 7's rocks though

I have tune up planted. I have no idea really. One day I was in a mood and dug up all my trees and planted tune up. I think I'm going to plant the throw trees again though. I use that gag more than any of the other ones. I just tend to not think about my trees and then they die.

Can I plant my 2nd lvl 7 after my first has already been planted or do I have to plant both at the same time?

For two lvl 7 trees they are both planted at the same time using only 1 gag.

I have lure planted on all of my toons except Sweeny Todd. I chose not to garden at all until he was maxxed in lure, sound, throw and squirt, then I planted drop.

I have throw for MMP and will probably always do that: the extra damage on those throw gags is too good to pass up, especially when used with lure.

Well, my 110 laffer, Queen Rainbow Snorkelsmirk has Tune up gag trees, Atta gal snorkelsmirk has throw (if I remember right) and my other tune I use (though there is one I haven't used at all almost) has squirt.

I now have all the throw trees planted. yahoo! I'm glad I tore the tune up trees out and replaced with throw. Its really nice to have that extra damage!!!

I have throw on Sadie, Drop on Atta D'Bleu, Trap on Feline, and throw on Atta Whack. I never pick gags from the trees except for the level 7s. I have two of those for each toon. It is really nice to be able to use two toontanics or wedding cakes in the same day. You need to plant one type of a gag from start to finish in order to get the level 7. I think TU trees are useless. I prefer having trees that do more damage. I don't think I've used my tu ladder but once in the entire time I have played TT.
