My main toon is Cool Zippenface.. nay.. my kids toon... but hey, he started it and I have not been able to put it down. I just love the idea of Toontown, it lets us help others while having a GREAT time. I would love to know people, I dont have any SF...I play almost every day, at night (I am in Eastern Time -1 hour, I live in Puerto Rico). My second toon is Queen Dizzy and I also have a black cat that is still in TTC.
Send me a message if any of you would like to have an adult who loves this game as a SF. See you |

Yes, this is exactly what I need! Hee hee! My whole family thinks I am crazy, and can't understand how I can play a kids game, "that I can never win." They think because it doesn't end, that there is no "winning" it.
I am adult, been playing Toontown over a year. Started by signing up my son who was then 4 years old and getting into computer games. After rescuing him all the time, getting more jellybeans for him to spend in the catalog, helping him complete toon tasks because he couldn't read, I became addicted and took over his monkey he'd created, Silly Spotty (short, fat monkey). I built him up to 107 and maxed my gags, without trap. Then I got bored with him, as I wasn't into boss runs because of how long it took to get on the elevators to fight, racing gives me a headache after a while, and I was at a standstill. Only tasks given were to defeat cogs and couldn't build up my laugh points anymore. So then I created Lady Twinkletoes (pink cat, tall and skinny opposite of Silly Spotty), and I am at 104 with her, and just maxed all my gags without drop. With her I have made several good friend toons who I am not SF with, but who I can count on to play fair and be helpful, nice to others. With them I finally have become addicted to the VP run, but still sensing the frustrations with it when they aren't on line and I'm ready to go. Hee hee, my husband asks periodically, are you close to being done yet? And almost lost it one day when I told him I made a black cat on halloween! Hee hee! That is Kitten Kaboodle, my halloween black cat. She doesn't get played much, but sometimes it's fun to be a smaller laugh point toon again, and do simpler tasks. Enough rambling, add me to the roster! I lost my post, rats. I will post more about myself again later, Add me to the roster! I am addicted, and really enjoy playing! I am an adult! Silly Spotty your story sounds just like mine. My son wanted to play T.T. and after helping him get started with it and advising what to do in most situations (from the computer room I would hear, Mom ! Help what gag should I use ?) I just kind of took over. And now I am an addict.
My Husband thinks I'm nuts because as you stated, You're playing a game you can never "win" and it never ends. Over the past year he has asked me repeatedly, --- aren't you about done with that ?--- When I try to share stories of my adventures in T.T. he just doesn't get it. I am a mouse, Fumbleslam, 109 l.p. max gags, trapless and currently working on trying to become a level 15 robber barron, so most of my time is spent in Cashbot H.Q. I have several good friends ( no s.f. ) and to my shame ( blame it on the addiction ) often get up at crazy early hours of the morning to play with out interuption from the family. When my husband sometimes wakes up and cathces me at the computer at 4:00 a.m. he just shakes his head and goes back to bed. I am so happy to have found this group. |

No, just treading around each other. I thought it was funny, and I laughed when he was yelling at me. "Turn that game off! That game is going! It's gone! It's out of here!" I think that is what made him maddest! Opps. I then got off and went to bed, to find the door locked. But not closed all the way. I went in and went to bed, and he got up an left, and locked the door on the way out. Shame on me for laughing, but it sounded like I was a little kid caught on the computer at 2am!
My defense, I'm done playing, just checking the board before bed!! |

My dh gets in his "moods" also. He doesnt sleep on the couch though. Thats one thing about him. He told me when we got married that he would never let us go to sleep mad at eachother no matter how difficult the situation is. Up to this date, he has kept his promise. BUT... when he gets into one of his ticked off tantrums.. ohh lordy, does it irritate me!! He got mad at me ALL the time for playing TT so much, but I told him, would you rather me be home with the kids, knowing where I am at all the time. OR would you rather me take off with my female friends to do things and not know whre I am at all the time.. guess what he replys? Our hubby's just need to understand that we have "our" things that make us happy to and they should respect that. We respect what they like dont we? How many of us here (not myself though dh doesnt watch sports) put up with sports because of our husbands? Most of us. I think you should have a talk with your hubby and tell him ...( I did this) that I am NOT the only adult mom that is addicted to this TT. I showed him the TTC forums, have showed him how we play and how I cant just take off out of the game because he says so. Its not the easy and he saw that. I had him watch me in a cfo battle just so he can see that one toon depends on the other toon to defeat cfo. So we have come to a mutual agreement that my TT time ends when he is home. When he isnt here I can do and play as much as I want.I hope this helps!! ohh yeah sorry for it being so long. I have the tendency to ramble a LOT! Claudia |

I totally feel for you guys and can relate! I was on the other night for four hours, I was helping a nonsf out (who was really helping me out!) and my hubby wanted it shut down. An extra ten minutes became 40. I really heard it from him then
I think many of us who have spouses that don't "get" the game, have to try to find some happy medium. It's hard though when after a really tiring day all you want to do it play....![]() |
