I have that phrase on my black cat at the moment. I can gift that phrase to people, PM me if interested! I will send that phrase to my fellow ATTA.

meet On The Brrgh Playground And Plan For A Couple Of Hours! Empty That Piggy Bank!!!

Host: Angela (on King Crunchytoon)

If you want to be able to chat with people, feel free to throw down a couple of codes on the A.T.T.A. Secret Swap thread. I think people will understand if you'd like to do this temporarily, just for the event. If that is the case, feel free to state this in your post. I will post code for SF on wednesday morning.

We will meet on the Brgh first, and people can form a group of 4 to go fish in different pond, or in their estate.

Angela
The fishing is on now! I am in the Brgh Playground near the fishing pond now. IF you are not SF with me, and would like to join the fishing fiesta, please let me know by saying Sorry I am busy fishing!

FISHING FIESTA REPORT

There was a nice turnout for our afternoon Wednesay A.T.T.A. Fishing Fiesta. We had two groups that fished for over an hour and a half. Between the two groups, there were EIGHT NEW SPECIES FOUND!

KIDS AND A.T.T.A.

I want to note here that my daughter was sick today and attended the Fishing Fiesta. Claudia and her are SFs and she was nice enough to include her. Thanks Claudia!

Right now our group is very loose and we have not set any "official" rules yet. I'd like to start a conversation here about kids and our group. Where do they fit in? Are they *sometimes* welcome at our group events? Or would we prefer completely "kid-free" events?

So far, since the group began, I have included "children" SFs of mine in a Building Buster run when we were a toon down to do our buildings, and allowed my daughter to participate in Fishing Bingo when she was sick at home. Obviously I'm not adverse to including kids. I'd like to hear from other people to know how the group as a whole would like to handle it.

Also, I wouldn't be adverse to us parents in A.T.T.A. helping our kids find appropriate SFs through our group. One of my SFs has a younger child who she was looking an age appropriate friends for her.

I figure it's probably about time we start making this all a bit more OFFICIAL. This is as good a start as any.

Thanks guys for participating in the fishing fiesta. Thanks Claudia, for taking in charge of the second group. We split up between Walrus way and DDL. My group fished in Pajama place and then switch to Lulaby lane, where we got 3 new species between us, then switch to MM and then to the estate. It was a lot of fun, and a lot of confusion because suddenly I found more than 10 SF online, and I have never played with more than half of them before! I got names wrong here and there, and a lot of SF code got exchanged, lol. Anyway, it was a good socializing event as well as fishing. Got the Crescent moon I have been looking for. Too bad none of us caught the ultra rare one, sigh.

I have sent the phrases "Act your age" to people in my SF list. If you would like one, please Pm me a code and I will send it your way. If you are on my list and haven't got one, let me know and I will send you.

I don't think we should exclude anyone from participating in our events.

I agree. We shouldn't leave out kids and I like the idea of having "safe" secret friends. My kids feel left out now cuz I have sf's and they don't...poor babies! Ha ha!

I think most kids play responsibly. There are just some that cause problems and those that will be playing with us will know we are all adults.

Should we allow kids at our events? My thought is this... if we allow just any kids, won't we be back to where we started?? Maybe if we just try to let it be our own children? Or occasional others if needed? Kids have friends, who have friends, who have friends... LOL know what I mean?

Today at our fishing fiesta, my 5 yr old wanted to come see my fishing party (we just got a second account and can play together). I told her she could come but not fish. Well, poor baby, she started crying so I let her use my dock for a bit, then there was an extra open and the others said it was no problem. At first I wondered if there was a rule against children at our events, but she seemed to be welcomed and I appreciate that so much. Especially to (oh geez I forget your name) who befriended her and bought her gifts! She said she liked her new friend and it made her smile. Thank you!!
And now I'm rambling on... Sorry!!!

You have a good point...But if we're gonna do a VP & I KNOW my friend (who is a kid) is REALLY good at it, I'd let them come to help. Not to become a regular thing, but if they happen to be online at the same time what can u do? Tell them not 2 come?

My opinion, that's ok. Cause especially at first, we will need outside help. And I don't think we should ever tell anyone they can't come. We dont' seem to be that kind of group.

The best thing to do is welcome anyone and everyone to any event hosted by the ATTA. Getting a bad rep is not what you want to do. Also, there are plenty of young teens I know that have the maturity level of an adult and vice versa (yikes!!!).

I think as long as the toons are behaving and not messing around, they should be welcomed regardless of age or laff level. With groups like these, the kids that do come around are here for business and not to mess around.

Also, as more and more adults join this group; there will be plenty of adults at each event that the number of kids present will seem little to none.

I have let my young son play with carmel before knowing that she as a mother herself would not be upset if he didnt play well. I have not attended many ATTA official events yet but I like the idea of letting our own children play.

Welcome to ATTA Craig! You are more than qualified for this group lol, and happy belated birthday to you.

My husband thinks I am crazy for playing TT, and he is a TT widower now. Maybe we should start another clan for our spouses who do not play TT, so they can get together, while we are busy playing TT lol!
