Look here for tips on hitting invasions!!

Here are some tips and information on hitting invasions, and where: From my studies, all the invasions I've seen have been either around 10:00 AM EST or 10:00 PM EST. Check all the servers especially the most and least populated ones, and you WILL hit an invasion, whether one of Flunkies or Big-Wigs. Another hint is to attend to only the invasions that you need to go to. I have been through many, and if htere is an invasion of Bottom Feeders, I don't think that it would be a neccesity for you to go. Please post the times of the invasions that you have seen below, make sure that you post in what time zone also. Have fun!

It depends what you're focussing on that day. Extra gag points are nice but sometimes I just want to get through my tasks.

Invasions of building only types can really provide a needed boost for those filling out the cog gallery. One invasion can easily provide enough cogs to fill any individual cog type in the gallery. Add to that the bonus points and its a great way to add to a gag skill even if one dosent need the specific cog type.

I was lucky to be with a very friendly party that allowed me to practice toon-up during an invastion (in a building) ... it was one of the quickest ways to get my next level

Is this true? Do we really get 6x the normal gag points during an invasion? If that's not what you meant, would you please explain to me? I was at a couple of them earlier today and I'm not certain, but it didn't seem to be much more than usual points.

You can, in a level 5 building. It took me a long time to notice that you get the level of the gag worth of skill on the first floor, 1.5 on 2nd, 2 on 3rd, 2.5 on 4th, and 3 on 5th.

So, if you'd normally get 3 skill points for a level 1 gag on 5, you would get 6 points for a level 1 gag on the 5th floor.

Let me know if that doesn't make sense.

Gag experience during an Invasion is doubled.

So, on the top of a 5-floor building (normally 3x experience), you get 6x experience.

And, if you don't feel ready for a 5-floor building, remember that the Cog's natural level range determines how high a Cog can be.

Consider, in the recent Flunky invasion, you could go in a 5-floor in Dreamland (Lullaby), and all of the Cogs would be level 5 Flunkies. Even the building boss. :)

While you are thinking of that, remember too that if the invasion ends while you're in the building, the rest of the cogs will be what you would normally see in a building in that area. It can be nasty, when the invasion ends, and a group of four level eleven Cogs come out of the lift. :)

Check the districts page in your schticker book periodically while playing. If a district suddenly has way more toons than usual, there is a good chance there is an invasion going on.

BTW, I finally got foghorn thanks to that Flunky invasion -- soloing 4 and 5 story buildings using Aoogah and elephant. Cool!

Is there any reason why someone wouldn't want to do buidlings during an invasion?

A friend with 91 laff asked me to teleport to her in DD and then said "Let's go fight the cogs!" during a money bags invasion. I headed down a street and found a 4-story right away, and she wouldn't go on it with me. She ran off down the street and started fighting them on the street.

I thought to myself, "Surely someone with 91 laff knows you get more points on buildings as well as on they street." I was curious if maybe I was missing some point. Can anyone think of something?

I went into a three story cog bldg., during last nights invasion of flunkys, so on the third floor, I used a whole-cream-pie, and I got fifteen points for using just one! It was weird

Actually you should have got 20 points I think. On the third floor gags are worth 2x the norm, so a cream pie would be 10 points. Doubled in an invasion. It sounds like you used it on the second floor.
