Generally play is worse now.
I've generally seen a big decline in play quality from people who are on. There are those with 15, 16 and 17 laff who go roaming around the Brrrr tackle a cog, then cry out for help. When you go and help them, they don't do anything. If you manage to kill the cog for them, they just go up to another cog.
I think they are thinking this is like other MMPORGs in that the higher the bot, the more exp they get, so they should sucker in people to kill bots for them.

They are Kids. Each has their own idea of fun. I think many don't even know how to fight and just accidently get into a fight and just wait untill the fight is over. Or are afk for hours at a time. They just leave while in the middle of a street. I have seen toons zzzzing in the middle of a streeet. Sooner or later they are bound to get pulled into a fight.
Saw one kid one night at midnight at 16 laff, just walking back and forth and all around the HQ on a street - for an hour or more. Accidently got pulled into a fight, and just stood there and did nothing (was a LONG fight with waiting for the timeout each time, with a lot of adds on top of that) and once the fight was over, went back to just walking around HQ and going in and out. Figured that before he went to bed his folks set him up, and he got up in the middle of the night on his own and logged himself on but had no clue what to do. The one with refusing toonup, probably actually LIKES walking around the playground 'sad'. They likely think it is funny. Sometimes I am tempted not to heal them, just to get them off the street for a while. But hey... it is good practice for toon up .With all the kids that are apparently on the game now, I do beleive that this is being advertized someplace. And it is on disney.com as well. |

This is most definitely a REVIVED form of griefing. I hesitate to call it "new", since I saw it in Beta 1 & 2.
The most egregious forms are letting time expire between floors and in games - you have exit in both cases and re-enter the subworld. I have taken the rather hard stance of not healing 15 & 16 LAFF point toons in Brrgh & Dreamland. I warn them that it is too risky for them and to run. I think it is better for them to go back to the playground and understand the risks and consequences of their actions, since we are unable to actually "tell" them why they've made a bad choice. Similarly, I resist tooning up mid-level toons who do not have toonup. I freely join fights in the lower realms where they 'belong' and heal & lure for lowbies. I'm not entirely heartless...

I never "You Stink"
I also befriend just about everyone... the "NO" choice. for friends sends them a message that would be considered mean to a kid. I'm hoping I eventually get enough ppl so my list is up to 50 so I don't have to worry about saying "NO."

Most times I say yes when they ask me - or just zone to make the message go away >
. Then I remove them when they are off line . Doesn't hurt their feelings, and the likelyhood that they remember me being their friend is slim. Like many others, I mostly only have blue names on my list, with few exceptions. I never saw a "you stink" in these situations. Just an occassional "uuh?" or "hurry up". I also try and stay off the main server as much as possiable.. Especially when in TTC. |

the passing thing: I sometimes pass if in battle with a noob. It lets them build up their gags and often i dont have a low enough gag to score for myself. Pass moves the game along. If they get hit then I heal them.
Also, in buildings on higher levels passing is part of farming the cogs and maximising points (but that will be a whole new and long thread no doubt). |

I thought that at first, but in reality they are probably just kids that don't know the symantics of the game. Like you said, even when you help them kill one cog, they just run to another and cog do nothing. I try to add them to my friends list then say follow me in hopes they will teleport to TTC where they belong, but this usually never happens. If they had bad intent or were trying to milk us into killing cogs for them they would have a grasp of the talker or teleport, which they don't, so it makes me believe they are total noob kids. |

I occasionally say no when people want to give me a toon-up. As in some cases it is more important to fight the cogs then put 20 laffpoints back into my toon.
However, nobody seems to understand what I am trying to accomplish. |
