The reason I didnt choose sound!

I didnt choose sound because i didnt know you could destroy 4 cogs at once and i thought "who would choose that?" to me power mattered to me not accuracy but you know I like soundless.Can you blame me?

All I can say is goodluck! I really do wish you luck, to be honest there isn't many soundless that I would do much with. Maybe that is bad of me, but other than Super Max Superspeed and Loopy Goopy Zooblefingers. There isn't many soundless that I am very excited about getting into a elevator with. It isn't because I just love sound, it is because I just don't like to take 1 hour to do a D office or a boullin. You have to be a even better player than average to be a soundless and you have to have a thick skin to take all the abuse from people at the elevator. There are some good soundless that is for sure, but so many times I am thinking to myself after making the decision to go with a soundless into a mint or a office is, "This person should delete themself and start over"! LOL.

Learn the points it takes to kill a cog and stand back and make sure you know which one is the bigger level and what will be left over when they do use sound and take out those leftovers. The biggest reason toons don't like soundless in my opinion is the speed factor.

I guess I am weak because for me the challenge of being a soundless doesn't even seem fun. But, if you like a great challenge, I believe you picked the best gag not to take. My hat is off to all you Soundless toons, wow you are tougher than I.

When they offer you the choice of working for sound gags, they tell you that it hits all the cogs in the battle. I know a lot of people are in a hurry and they don't read that part.

It doesnt really matter. Just use good strategy and you will be fine. I'm sorry that a lot of toons won't go into elevator with you. I know it took a long time to get to the point that you are at, but you may want to make a second toon and play both. A lot of us have more than one toon (some of us have too many).

You must've not seen people SAVE YOU WITH THE GAGlike what happens to most people who don't choose a gag for a dumb reason..Still it doesn't matter.(Srry if you're not in DDL or TB yet,and if you aren't you still have a chance to pick sound.)

I really hate ppl who refuse to go with soundless toons. They're the ones who have no skill and don't know a bit of strategy outside blasting their way through with sound. Is it so bad to have to change strategies a bit to make room for a soundless toon? It's really not that hard, I have a friend without sound, and we fly through mints anyways. Alright I'm done ranting.

This was my 1st toon and yes im in lbhq 106 it's really fun being soundless but who would start over because they're soundless?

Hehe. Funny reason. I agree with Sir Tom Twinkletoes. I hate toons who would refuse to go in with a sound toon or leave in the middle of a mint/building/DA for toons who DONT have sound. -.- It's pointless.

Nothing wrong with not choosing sound. My 110 is soundless, if people are so set in their ways they don't want to load an elevator with me, I'll find another group who will. No big deal.

If you take a look at some of the old timer toons, ALOT of them don't have sound. It wasn't a big deal back before the HQ's came out and made everyone insane for speed. And btw, if all cogs don't get killed by your sound, it doesn't take that long for me to drop on the last one or even toon you all up. KA-BOOOOOOOM

When you are facing 14,400 jury notices, or 8900 cogbucks, you want to get in and out of the D office or Bullion as fast as possible because you still have alot of them to do. And like it or not, going in with sound IS the fastest way possible. At this point, like it or not, most people aren't thinking or even wanting different or new strategies, they just want it done. I used to feel the same way you did until i was facing the big numbers. I took a soundless toon into the bullion recently, he said "trust me" and "let's use sound". Well, I decided to trust him knowing that there ARE some good and trustworthy soundless toons. So we went in and all he wanted us to do is sound so he could work his drop. He never tooned up, just dropped and dropped. That bullion took over an hour and was very painful as his drop missed almost every time. I thought his behavior was inconsiderate.... I don't force strangers to work my gags in the bullion. And the worst part? Just about every gag barrel in that mint was drop. Ugh. So I learned my lesson. I won't go in with a soundless toon unless I know they have a good reputation as a good player. Matt is right, you have to be an above average player to be a good soundless toon.

Sound is good if you're a speedy-type person and don't have much patience.

I've got a lot of time on my hands, so I chose sound too. To be honest, I like it, because it makes Toontown just a little more challenging. There's no point in being laughed at because you didn't choose sound - Trap is better, since you can BOOM things.

As stated at least twice in this thread, you must be an above average player to play without sound well. This is why I made a soundless toon, I didn't want to be average, I wanted to be better. I learned alot from watching and playing with good soundless toons and learned even more by working up one of my own. Lady Lily Laughsalot is now on her 2nd 8900, and meeting some awesome toons running the bullion mint. And hopefully still learning more each day.

My biggest problem being soundless so far isn't toons ditching or stinking me. Ditch me I don't care, I have maxed toons in all HQs, but when a friend asks for my help then we both get ditched cause I am playing on my soundless toon I feel responsible.

Still laughing at the toon from last night that said to me "I think you should choose sound." then promptly left the Bull mint to stand at the elevator and shuffle till the time the remaining 3 of us got to the supervisor. (I had a toon on another account jumping which allowed me to see this) Let me tell you, that taught me a lesson, maybe I will go running to Flippy and see if he will let me get a 7th gag track now. ROFL

Someday I hope to be counted amoung the above average players, until then, I will work and learn!

I started over because I was soundless. I just wanted sound instead of drop.

Exactly. I have aquired many skills from being soundless. As Matt said, I ALWAYS do stand back and watch the 11s in bullion (Even though Im maxed, Im helping a friend). If you don't go for me, yeah, im a little sad that you're discriminating me. I mean it's not like I dont understand, I wanted to get rid of Cash ASAP.

I hope at least some of my friends count me as above avg.
