Lightbulb How about scheduling some of these things for west-coasters?

Sounds great, but I couldn't attend. I work.

Suggestion: This event would draw a much bigger crowd from west-coast USA if it was scheduled to about 6 hours later, say 9PM-12AM PST. By then, we west-coasters (whom I believe make up the bulk of Toontown players) are home from work, supper's eaten, and we have time to attend to recreational activities. (Unlike 3PM-6PM PST, when we're either still at work, or commuting home.)

I'm sorry you couldn't make our last run.

We realize, no matter what the times are, some toons will always be left out of our runs. Making it 6 hours later would make it way to late at night for all the other players. 12 AM to 3 AM ET would cross out almost all of the east coast. Much of our members being east coast and not just pacific. So we figured, with those times, we can get a resonable amount of players from everywhere.

We could possibly make it an hour or two later, but not much more than that in our future events.

3-6PM weedays is unworkable for adults.

You mis-understand me entirely. This has nothing to do with "your last run". I work. I can't play Toontown at 3PM-6PM on weekdays, and neither can most other people. This is permanent and is not going to change: not now, not ever; not for me, and not for anyone else.

Yes, at the very least, your current schedule permanently excludes the entire western half of the United States of America. I can't even calculate how many hundreds of millions of people that is.

Ummm... no. Excluding the entire western half of the United States of America serves only to exclude about 90% of your potential members. It certainly does not serve to "include a reasonable number of players from everywhere", as most people simply can not play at 3-6PM on weekdays, period. Not now, not ever. They work or attend school. Only the very young (infants and toddlers), the retired, and the very wealthy tend to be home at that time of day. Those constitute only a tiny portion of the pool of available Toontown players.

(Excluding Los Angeles and Orange counties, alone, excludes possibly the majority of all players of this game. This is The Land of Disney. Where it all began. A very bad place to arbitrary exclude.)

The solution is to do what other clans do: have more than one scheduled run time for events, so that persons in different time zones can participate.

Two hours later than 3-6PM would be 5-8M. Still not workable for the West coast. If TCB must have a single "compromise" time for entire USA (and that is where most of the players are) for its events, then 6-9PM western time would work. Thats 9PM-12AM eastern time. People are just getting home from work on the west coast, and not yet gone to bed on east coast. Anything much earlier or later than that is going to exclude one coast or the other.

Multiple run times would be better, though.

Oops, just kind of figured we were talking about "our last run." I mean this is last runs thread, the last run was our first and only run, and so basically it was the only run we can talk about so I must have made a mistake somewhere. Kidding..

However, you did miss our last run.. and I really am sorry you did..

You have to give us some sort of a break, it was our first run and those are always our tests. We will alter the times during every run. Some earlier, but most later. Our plans were to not just have Fearless Fridays on Fridays. A new name for every day of the week. Maybe Sorry Sunday? If some where we gave an impression that would be our only time for any run please point it out so we can make it more clear.

I understand that we will be putting the pacific coast into disadvantage because of time zones. However, lets get resonable, we can not make it 6 hours later. We could do 3 hours tops and 4 max. Eastern time zone managed doing the hours of 6-9 PM, so I don't see how the pacfic coast can't. Seeing how a person near LA made this schedule, I figured it could work. I guess I was wrong?

I appreciate you speaking up. We always ask our members to so we can work out our problems together, and I'll take what you said into consideration.. by changing the times for our next event.

Remember one thing.. you can host a run too!! Just post a few days in advance to give as much members as possible the chance to come upon the thread. Use the times you like, and if it won't be on friday then make sure you think of a cool name for that day of the week!
