Sorry, to SOS shoppers

Tonight I was in Bouncytown trying to get in with SOS shoppers on my toon Glueless, but it seems some seemed annoyed. I hope no one was offended, I left as soon as I noticed I wasn't welcome.

Sorry, I wasn't there so I dont know what happened. The group is open to everyone, and no one should have been annoyed at you or anyone else. Can you be more specific about what happened? There has been some stress lately of people not knowing how to split into 2 groups when there are 9 or more toons. Do you think that is what happened?

It's no big deal guys, that's why I posted here to let you guys know that if I annoyed anyone, it wasn't intentional.

I used to play the game in 2002 (I think) and I just returned to playing so I probably need to re-familiarize myself with toontown etiquette

I saw you board the elevator with one group and then you just hopped off, lol. The TCB is usually very welcoming, I don't think you should feel weird. Maybe you should SF some members so you can join their group?

I'm afraid I was one who may have seemed annoyed at you (I was Parmesan Pirate). That definately wasn't my intention! What was happening is that there was about 10-11 of us and we were trying to organize into two groups. So right when we'd get five or six on an elevator and think we had the groups even, one or two more would jump in at the last second and that would not leave enough people for the group waiting.

I wish there was a speed chat phrase for "Just wait right there and go with the next elevator, that way they have enough".

Nobody was annoyed at you, personally. They were just trying to make sure the group going after had enough people. I felt so bad when I said "oof" and you said "sorry!" and ran off. I wish I could have explained why I had said that. I'm sure you are an awesome Vp'er and I look forward to seeing you on many more TCB runs! I'm sorry you didn't feel welcome. Everyone is welcome in the TCB.

And this is why we shouldn't get "mad" here (That's not to say that I dont at times, too... I'm just sayin'...). It's difficult to know whats going on with the people behind the other toons you're with. There are always going to be new people from time to time who aren't aware of how things are done, or any number of reasons why someone might not be playing like you think they should. You should do what you can to encourage others to do things the right way, but we shouldn't get mad and assume people are "breaking the rules" intentionally.

I really hope Verbose will give us another try sometime. Sounds like it was just a misunderstanding all the way around.

Well I go with ~Bubbagum~ most of the times. I never knew what shopping was so I kinda figured it out by Spacklepocket. We usally gather around in a District (Sorry I'm not aloud to tell the district you guys might come) and then we just get alot of toons to come we usally only gather 100+ Laffs but we usally get noly 6 people if there was more they could come.

I usally go with, Lindsay, hyperrr cd x3, and people that are fimilair to me. I usally shop if there is like someone else then Clerk Clara cause everybody I was with loved Clerk Clara.

I'm really sorry this happened too. EVERYONE is welcome. The splitting thing is difficult. One thing to remember is there are people (myself included) who bring 2 toons. If one hops the other most likely will too.

As was mentioned, try to keep an equal number on and off. It IS very nice for friends to be together, or those running 2 toons to be able to be on the same run. Makes it more fun for all of us.

IF you see there are too many on the elevator and someone needs to get off, and you are alone, it would be real nice if you were the one to hop and wait for the next crew. I always try and let friends stay together.

A suggestion. If you are hopping to stay with the next group, say stay as you are hopping off. This way people know your intention.

Please give the clan another try. You did the best thing coming here and saying Hey! What's up? lol.. now everyone knows who you are and best welcome you with open arms.

Verbose, after reading all the new replies, I can see that what happened was a matter of you probably not knowing that we split up the groups when we have more than 8 toons ready to board. It is very normal for us to VP with only 4 or 5 toons in a group. Please come again and just count how many toons are ready to board, so that you know if we are boarding in small groups. As said in other posts here, there are members who do shop with 2 toons at the same time and it is much easier for them to keep their 2 toons together.

More patience is needed when we have people new to the clan that do not know about splitting the group. I had trouble figuring it out in the beginning as well. I was so used to the CCG and cramming the elevators full. Also in random vp's you just jump on when you have the chance. Coordinating even groups with the TCB takes some getting used to and some patience from the more seasoned members.

I was in a group earlier and we got a Professor Pete (Woot) and all of the sudden I got disconnected, I just wanted to say… I am so sorry to the group I was with, you guys are great.

I really enjoy sos shoping, and I’m totally bummed I missed out on that Pete card! Anyways, I’m so sorry.
