Happy Birthday Forum?

Anyways, I thought it would be cool to have some kind of a sub-forum (maybe under the Greetings and Goodbyes) for us to post on the day of our birthdays. Idk but I just thought it would be fun because that way, we can all wish our friends who we cant contact any other way a happy b-day! What do you all think?

Yeah well, their ages are already on this website. Like u know at the very bottom of the main page it says, "Birthdays..." Most ppl have their age posted there anyways. And if they dont wanna post their age then they dont have to.

Yes, this would be a violation of the site rules. Posting your age is against the rules on the forums (exept for the calendar where users do post age/birthdays).

And even that is suggested not to be shown.

Sadly though, I think it would cause too many conflicts between posting ages and some other Personal Information. Though I've heard from a moderator that the new vBulletin has a feature that can show an announcement at the top of the index showing any type of text they want. This might be able to be introduced as a form of birthday greetings, new moderators, updates, etc.

To me it seems worse to post your birthday than your age, but people post their birthday in the off topic forum anyway, so I don't see why the mods would mind it... just saying.

It would cause alot of problems with age, since the main point would be to show your a year older, and your age.

In my opinion, you don't have to post your age to celebrate a birthday. But I can see your points, it would make more work for the mods to make sure nobody is posting their age and such. But it would be cool to see who has the same birthday as you.*looks at the poster above the poster above*

It doesn't matter. Posting you birthday isn't dangerous; imagine how many people share the same birthday. I share the same birthday as LAWBER and Flippy97. Just as long as you don't post the age you're going to be, have been in the last years, or the year you were born.

What if there is a kid/child on the site that posts his/hers birthday in that forum?

And, the off-topic forum is a place you can also wish happy birthday's to people.
