How do I make a poll within a forum or sub-forum?

I looked at the directions for making polls, and it says there are poll options in "Additional Options". But, when I create a thread, I don't see these options. What am I doing wrong?

Maybe that forum disabled polls

Polls can only be created by users in the Polls forum. Mods can create them in any forum. If you want a poll moved once you've made it, PM a mod to move it. Please, include reason as we don't normally have polls outside the Polls forum.
