Advertisements

Alright, TTC. I have a question for you. The wonderful admins here clearly state that the uploading source, Photobucket, is not aloud, because of "ads". Then why are there a huge number of ads here? They're exactly the same, yet it's fine here. I don't think that makes must sense, does it?

Here happens to be my favorite ad. This ad saved me my love life! Thank you TTC! =]

So why are ads like this allowed on TTC, yet we cannot use Photobucket, imageshack, etc. And please, I'd like an intelligent answer. I'll repeat it, just so the people that are slow know. INTELLIGENT. ANSWERS. Please, and thank you.

Those are ads that are from companies that pay to have their ads up on TTC. That's not like someone posting an ad. If someone posts a random website, there's no telling what it could be.

They probably use an ad site to help support them and said *all* their ads are G-rated. Probably not true. Also you might want to remove the picture and PM an Admin.

But it's still an ad. Does that mean if I shell off enough dollars I can make an ad that breaks the Policies and Guidelines?

Well that's pretty dangerous. If they're willing to take a chance on that, why's everywhere else banned?

Pickles, I understand that. But I had no clue that TTC needed money THAT badly that they had to use "cheating" ads. Pretty sad. Sorry TTC.

Thank you for reporting this ad. We rely on our members to help keep our site family friendly. We'll see about getting this blocked as soon as possible. If you see more ads that do not meet our g-rating, please don't hesitate to pm them to a moderator or administrator.

Thank you for posting that form message.

Still, don't you guys look at these ads or at least the ad provider before you let them on the site?

Agh, another question. What's with the lag with the site? It takes forever to load.

Anyway, as my friend Doppel said. You guys don't look at any new ads that come into TTC?

I think my favorite ad yet was the one that linked to a forum. You say "NO FORUMS NOW OR EVER!!!" yet one of the ads you all let be put up there as you have to PAY for is a forum.

Speak of the devil! I scroll up a little bit and guess what ads up there??

The lag is the fact that there are around 600 members and guests on right now.

Unfortunatly, I have to agree with the above posts. For example, there is the google ads in that box. Some of them say things like "meet *ahem* singles" or "Do you think your *ahem*" Its getting pretty ridiculous. It just seems a bit irratating how we cant say poop with the C word when there are those ads. Also, I dont think money is a huge factor. Because, if I remember correctly. It costs Ten dollars a month to remove all ads. Not bad if you ask me.

Exaggerations aren't cool. There's roughly 300 (As it keeps going up and down) members on here and it's laggy as all get out; a site for a game I go to that the developers host has roughly 276 (Again, it goes up and down) on and it runs so fast right now, and if it goes higher it doesn't get all laggy.

Lol, still, my main question still has to be answered. Why do you allow ads like the ones I posted, and kid nino talked about, yet we can't use image hosting sites that have ads like those.
