Question Mods gone amok?

This thread isnt against mods (no offense to mods) its just a mere understanding. I have seen so many threads closed. A few questions:
1. Wats the difference from deleting a thread from spam and closing one from spam?
2. Why did Midday Cafe and Mice Ice Cream close?
3. Why did you close Purpleroni's thread for saying hes reached 1000 quotes?
4. Why have mods been deleting and closing threads a lot lately? Is it ttc forums have turned to EKB's side, or have mods gone amok?

EDIT: Is this spam? Plz dont delete this thread too if it is.

1. I didn't realize this was a problem. If the thread isn't very sever or is too severe of spam, we leave it for a record. If we delete a medium-sized spam thread, we get people on the case about their post count. I'm not sure what you want here, nor do I really see a problem, but I may be confused with what you're asking.
2. There is a reply to that in the thread on that in The Sandbox.
3. There is a reply to that in Purpleroni's thread.
4. More or less because more people have been spamming or breaking other rules. I've also noticed more people reporting posts instead of taking matters into their own hands, meaning mods see more of the problems.

I believe I did #3... Posting a thread announcinng that you've reached a certain post count is simply spam.

I've closed a number of these lately.

#4 : The answer is because posters don't read and follow the posting guidelines and we use our best judgement to maintain the integrity of the site.

It's like supply and demand.

The more people spam, the more threads will be closed.

I think that's whats happened, more spam. Also, more members. The rules never changed, And I don'tthink the mods' attitude toward them changed. Simply more supply with no demand.

Ok now that ive read the answer to the cafe thing i have another question to ask. What about the Harry Potter Role Play thread. It has gained 300 (i think) on that thread, in like no time flat. Are you gonna close it? Jw....

The ghost thread was closed due to controversial topics being brought up...
Same with the Friday the 13'th thread (although *I* didn't agree with closing that one)...

Well... Just wondering... Why was the Mice Icecream thread closed just recently, when people've been posting in it for so long? O_o

Despite my hatred of that spam-o-rama thread, known as "Mice Ice Cream", the closure has had a devastating effect on the TTC community's moral.

Well, as much as I value your opinion, it would be nice if you could use proper grammar. Ala, "every1"? "hypin"? "wit"? "h8"? Some people don't understand that.

And, I am not sure what your point is...nobody is really mad.
