To those of you who want to be a mod, an example.

Tonight alone, I have spent over an hour doing nothing but taking care of problems on TTC. You can ask people on IRC, who I said I would help in-game, there was no way I could stop doing what I was doing on here to help them.

It's only the first day of winter break.

Being a mod is not all fun and games, oh-look-at-me-I-get-to-read-the-mod-forum-and-boss-others-around. Although a lot of us talk in IRC, and are decently close, that's about all I could say is "fun" about being a mod. You'll quickly discover that there is more to being a mod then just, for lack of a better term, bossing others around. Many people refuse to admit that what they did was wrong, many others have never even read the guidelines.

Something as simple as suspending a person for a day can start a whole series of work for a mod, that can, overall, end up taking hours of their time, solely because that user didn't feel like reading the guidelines.

I'm not complaining about the job, I wouldn't trade it for anything as of right now, but please, don't pretend to yourself that it's fun. You're in for a rough surprise if you ever get made a mod.

Don't get your hopes up.

Well, I hate to break it to you mods, but uh, like 2% of the people on this forum have read the guidelines. I really didn't have to either. I have broken only 1 rule and I haven't read the guidelines (the only rule I knew was that this site was g-rated....I didn't no relationships were not g-rated! LOL). I suggest that if your not a g-rated person 24/7...you SHOULD READ THE GIUDELINES!! Personaly, I think the rules are a tad bit shrict. But, hey, thats just me.

Ehh...lemme know if that post made any since...LOL

Hey! CBD! Guess what! I'm gonna go read the guidelines!! Whee! This will be fun! NOT! (But, no, seriously, I am.)

EDIT: Oh, uh, yeah....how many times have I heard a mod say, "A mod's job isn't all fun and games!" Wow...'DON'T MAKE ME COUNT MOMMY!!'

*LOL just ignore me, I'm being silly tonight.*

CBD, what you said at the top is soooo very true! I got a little taste of being a mod on Groffy's old forum. Some members are just stuborn and don't want to follow the rules. When members brake the rules, you go "Well duh! How could you do such a stupid itiotic thing? Didn't you read the rules?" But then it hits you, they didn't read the rules. So everyone, do these nice mods a favor, and read the rules! And if you are a member that has been hre for a while and you haven't read the rules, go read the rules so you can prevent yourself from getting a warning. I just remembered something, isn't there something in the title of the rules that says "Read before posting"? So if you haven't read the rules and have posts then......you made an oopsie.

Oh! Oh! Found 'em! Found 'em!!

OOOOOOHHHHHH!! Lookie what I found:Toontown Central Policy Guidelines Great...now I have to read them...to bad I don't understand half the words on there...

Guideline: Swearing or Cussing - profane or obscene expression usually of surprise or anger.

What I see: Blah or Cussing - Blah or Blah expression usually of blah or blah.

Guideline : X-rated material (picture or website) - Pornographic material deemed inappropriate for children and most adults.

What I see: Blah Blah (picture or website) - Blah material blah blah for children and most adults.

Um...yeah...try getting a little 9 year old to understand that...when I can barley understand it! LOL Can I get a translation in the house?

I'm...ah...already kinda bored...so uh..yeah.

Well, for folks who suffer from G.D.D. (Guideline Deficit Disorder), the official guidelines can pretty much be boiled down to two words:

Be Nice
