Insulting/Spitting on other people's ideas

Now here's a problem with the forums. When someone gets a good idea and other people post saying "No way! That idea *****!". Well, first of all, it's annoying and it takes away the thread, and second of all you should only post on those threads if you're interested. IMO, all posts doing this should just be deleted, but that's just me. Discuss?

To a certain point, if its joking, its ok, or if its said in a nice way ("I don't like that idea" for example), but the recently deleted post that Fat Bepop reported is way out of line (saying an idea "*****"? You can't think of a better way to say that?)

Now.. this is just my opinion (don't ban me for saying this!), but I think what you're saying is if someone dislikes your idea, their post should be deleted? Correct? I'm going to tack on an example so you can see what I'm getting at.

Example:

Person 1: My idea is that everyone should blah blah blah blah.

Person 2: Well, I don't think that's such a great idea..

Person 1: You're wrong! Teacher, give Person 2 a detention for disagreeing with me!

I've gotten onto several people about that. Some people say they don't like the idea & move on. That's ok. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions. However, where it gets to the point of them going on & on & on about how they dislike the idea or how stupid it was or how it was lame or even name calling...well, that's where it SHOULD be reported. I said this on Cheddarlebbon's thread, I've even PM'ed people about it. It doesn't matter your feelings for a certain person. You are entitled to feel that way, but when it comes to the point of badgering someone or following them around & saying every idea is stupid....that's going way over the line! If you like the idea, great! Respond & participate. If you don't like the idea, if you think it's stupid, if you think it's the most retarded idea you've ever heard about you can say you don't like the idea ( and yes, you can say it nicely) & then move on or even better, don't post at all. 1) You're drawing negative attention toward yourself because you're bugging another member & 2) you're contributing to the thread where you don't even LIKE the idea! Basically, you're bumping up a thread you don't even like & going to get yourself into trouble for continuing on with it. Just keep in mind, there are younger kids on this board, some of who get their feelings hurt or get angry more easily than bigger kids. Let's keep this in mind when posting!

Person2: That Idea *****! '

Person2 is that one at fault there, BUT

Person1: Here's my Idea!
Person2: I don't like that idea.
Person1: OH YEAH, WILL YOUR IDEAS **** AND I HATE YOU!
Person3: Person1, don't be so rude over nothing you idiot!
Person1: WELL ITS MY IDEA AND I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE ELSE THINKS!

Person1 is the problem there, Person2 didn't do anything wrong, and Person3 could have been a bit nice. One more...

Person2: Here's my idea and its better than Person1s idea!
Person1: Your ides *****!
etc. etc.

That thread would get moved and BOTH would be in trouble
