Howcome my avatar won't animate? And another hosting site got banned?

Ok, I switched to this new avvie. (Which was WAY to big so I just uploaded it from my computer.) and it didn't keep the animation. So I went back to "Jac's Art Shack" to dig up my other avvie from one of the older pages. What I find is all the images are BLOCKED and I can't get my old avvie back!

Perhaps someone else can help you with why your avatar won't animate. Probably the best place to ask that is our Arts & Creativity forum.

Regarding hosting sites that have been banned. We maintain a list of Approved Image Hosting Sites here in the Site Feedback forum. This list has not changed since October. We have stated numerous times that at any time we find that a hosting site is inappropriate, it will be blocked by our filter. We have encouraged members to use the sites listed in this approved thread. We still allow people to use other hosting sites that are not on our approved list, so long as they don't "advertise" these unapproved sites as being approved.

As has been stated many, many times, the only 100% foolproof, guaranteed image hosting site is our own Gallery. Second choice should be one of our approved sites. Anything that is not our Gallery or an approved site is questionable.

I don't really understand why Ripway isn't allowed anymore. I'm not saying there wasn't anything inappropriate on it, but if there was, I don't remember it.

And Raxz, did you make the avatar any bigger 64x64?

When TTC automatically resizes an avatar, it takes away the animation.

I can resize it for you to fit the requirements and keep the animation if you'd like.

A good hosting site would be http://www.fileave.com/. It works and it's on the TTC Approved sites list.

Well, now, I just want my old avatar back but now I can't find the url for it even if I type in the first few letters and since Bubbles Ruffleseed's favorite hosting site recently got blocked, I can't go back to the thread and get the old avatar back. That's my main problem.

I already know of a hosting site that works for me and that is http://freeimagehosting.net

This new one looks like a pivot, is it? If it is then, that would not be able to upload as your avatar with animation. You would have to animate it by frame by frame with GIMP, Photoshop, or a different animating program.

I saved it as a .gif file not as a .pivot file.

Yes but, you can just take the first picture and resize it. All frames have to be resized if I can remember. (I may be wrong) Even if you save it in gif. format it has to be at an avatar size. If you do that then your pivot-avatar should work.
