Blank posts! stop it

I look at pics in the gallery and everyone leaves blank comments. Why is this?
Its starting to get on my nerves.

Maybe their comments were erased.

No, I think that's what happens when people rate it, but don't leave a comment with the rating.

everytime you rate a picture it needs a post to say who rated it. Since you just gave it a rateing and no post, the post comes up blank.

We've changed the settings on the gallery so no one may rate an image without leaving a comment so these don't keep being created. There are still tons of them in the gallery though. We're slowly getting rid of them as we see them.

Does the gallary still contribute to your post count if you comment? I remember it did.

It did for around 3 days after it came out. I tested it out.

No, it doesn't add to your post count. After all, it's not really a "Post".
And people would take advantage of it to up their post count. So that wouldn't be good.

I still don't understand why people like having a high post count. :P

I used to be one of those people who did so I know. They feel the need to have lots of posts to become popular. Or, they could want to be the top poster and become "Famous"

Also, maybe the people with the blank comments think it adds to their post count so they post alot.

I believe that feature was shut off. We've made several changes to the gallery with the newest update.
