Live Chat Help Please?

I want to try the Toontown Trivia, but Live Chat does weird stuff. Here's what happens when I log in...

When I press Disconnect and then Connect again, it does this...

Sometimes some channel things show up, but not the others. Sometimes I'm able to get in the Toontown Trivia, but nobody is saying anything, so I say !trivia, but nothing happens. Can someone please help?

it just goes to the java screen no matter what...

You have to have some Java thing. I don't really know where to get it. On mine, it came up at the bottom and was like, "You need to do this!" lol

Well, i have stinkin windows vista and i went to the java website and i just tried to download it and it said something like

"this blablabla stupid system can not download blablabla please check at the bottom of the page to see if you have all that is required blabla BLAAAAA"
ugh its like all kinds of windows 200

The Java updater makes it worse. If you can't connect right away wait like 10 minutes then try again. When you log in don't touch it just like let it load for atleast 1 minute.




P.S. The Java updater just give you less options.

This is sad because it also does not work for me either

And the really sad part is that i was a old trivia winner and now i cant even get on lol

Personally I prefer to use mIRC and not the Java chat - it's what I'm used to and I prefer the setup, features, look etc.

If you are having trouble with the Java chat, you can try downloading and installing mIRC. There is a guide on the wiki - mIRC Guide.

OK, the Chat thing is working now. I can get to a channel. But right after I typed something it said "Disconnected." When I tried to connect again, it said that my nickname is already in use. So I can only get on for a few seconds and then I have to wait. And then I can get on for a few seconds, and then I have to wait again. And so on...
Sorry...

Edit: Is it because I have Windows Vista, maybe. Because it says. * [10053] Software cause connection abort.

Is it free because when I went on different sites I had to pay for it so I took the free trial.

Yes, it's free. You can choose to register, but I've used mIRC on and off for years and never HAD to pay for it.

If you have any questions once you are in channels, please feel free to ask and an OP will do their best to help you.
