Total Posts?

I do not get it...
I know for a fact that i have posted way more than what it says I have, and also to prove my point...

Raxz has 1000 something posts in the last 28 days and yet on his profile it says he only has about 800....

Can someone explain to me how total posts work?

Activity posts do not count, I believe. Hope this helped.

I was also wondering. Earlier I saw I had 156 posts. Then after a few posts, it said 157. Strange.

Posts in activities are never counted.

Although I cannot be sure, Activity posts may be discounted because they are often inconstructive responses to a game or something similar. I don't see the need, personally, to discount any posts, because a post count doesn't mean much to me.

That would make sense that activity posts wouldn't count, because that's what I was doing at the time. Not that I care about post counts either, though.

I don't think it's a good idea to have
posts NOT count in some places..
It's just a number, why is it so important
if you get your posts through doing RPGs, activities, etc?
It's not like it's money. o.o

Post count is constantly in flux due to areas being counted, others are not, and mods doing their work. Mods are constantly deleting, moving, editing, etc. posts. This will cause everyone's post count to flux to some degree. EXAMPLE: A post you may create counts on your post count. A mod then comes along and deletes it later for an infraction on our policies. This post is then removed from your post count the next time I do a rebuild on post counts (which is roughly every Monday).

Activities and RPG forums have their post count shut off. Due to the high volumn of posting in RPG due to the nature of playing those story-based games, it will quickly inflate a user's post count. Due to complaints that we've had about this, we've decided it was best to not count people's post there. Much is the same about Activities forum. Face it, a great deal of the posts in activities is boardline if not down right spam. Instead of us having to be strict on all the different thread games posted there, we've decided to be more relaxed, but not allow post counts. The mods can work less on this area and everyone can go have a little fun. So this works out well without complaints.
