I have never got suspended on TT, or TTC. I know my boundaries, and I do not cross them. I also know of alot of people who have gotten a post edited, generally I can point out what they did, and I admit, I never read every rule. The rules here are simple, and more than likely you know if you wrote something not appropriate, it's common sense. TT doesn't catch much, but believe me, when they find something they don't like, the punishment will be harsh. Here, you get plenty of chances.

I've always thought that TTC was very lenient in allowing members to post about many different things. Way back when I first joined TTC, the site seemed to be more adults than kids and way more TT oriented. I've been a member here since 2003, I think, and have never received a warning, reminder or anything like that. It's not hard to follow the rules.
Most posts were about TT - strategy, tasks, guides, help etc etc. Over the years as more people have joined, more forums have been created to allow everyone a chance to post in different areas. We have off topic, other games, activities, arts and so on. The mods and admins have tried to accomodate the members as much as possible, while still keeping this site a safe place for ANY age to visit. Also, remember this is not a chat room, it's a forum for people to share ideas, find help, offer help and it's main function is to provide that for a game called Toontown. Our IRC chat room uses the exact same rules that the forum does - if you want a different kind of chat, there are plenty of other places you can find that. It is also not a place for real life drama, discussion of relationships and topics along those lines. If someone has a problem in real life, they need to talk to a person they know in real life that they trust - parents, friends etc. Just use a little common sense - don't use bad language, no one is impressed by it; if you post something that would hurt or offend you from someone else, it's probably not appropriate. If you are really uncertain about something, please pm a mod and one of us will be glad to help you and you can always review our polices found RIGHT HERE.

Well,I think that being strict is a good thing here,I mean,I'm actually happy that TTC has given ppl warnings(Including me),becuase we want everyone to not be violent to each other,or be spammy and lag the computer. It is a good thing that there are rules, becuase everything would fall into negitive chaos instead of positive.Members, don't get me wrong,I do feel bad when people get in trouble, and me.So,here is some friendly member to member edvise, don't go over board and post things that just pop in your head.It will truely be strange and a bit emberrising if you find out your post went into the dark side.(does darth vaidor niose).and hey,I dont like getting in trouble,I some times freak out,and mostly try to workit out and remember my mistake.

I've never gotten a warning from TTC. I've never been suspended/banned from TT. I think TTC and TT are both equally fair with their rules and regulations. This site is G-rated, so I guess you can expect it to be a little strict at times, same goes for TT. I know this might be a little off, but if I were to compare this forum site with some of the other forum sites I'm on, TTC ain't strict at all. I think all our (mini-) mods/admins have a good idea of what's appropriate and what isn't. I think TT has a fair idea of what's appropriate and what's not. Of course both TTC & TT can make mistakes, but then again, don't we all? Also, TTC is a forums site for TT and TT is an online game, kinda awkward to compare. Forums will have their rules, TT will have its rules. :/
Sorry if some of this has already been stated... |

Now, when it comes to editing posts, like anything else, each mod has their own levels of acceptability and even with our straight forward site rules, each individual will interpret those differently. It's human nature. But when it comes down to banning someone, unless it is something thoroughly egregious, no one is banned without a mod/admin discussion happening first.

Ok. Listen,
TTC and TT are NOT strict. They are both G-rated. The reason they ban you is, people never bother to read the rules. And they want to keep it at a simple G-rated level, and they want it to stay that way. So neither are strict, they are just keeping the game and this site at a G-rated level. Also, if you got warned, DON'T DO THE SAME THING YOU GOT WARNED FOR AGAIN!!They are doing this for a reason- you may have your signature too big, or maybe personal information was given out. Either way, they just want to keep the game and site safe. Last edited by Cat With Additude; 11-29-2007 at 11:06 PM. Reason: Typo. |
