I have some questions that need answering,

Is it against the rules to post our gender?

Why can't we post other toons names that have done bad things to us?

If I bumped up a thread from 2003 would you ground me or delete the thread?

1) No clue why we cant
2) How would you feel if i said that YOU were a griefer? Would you be mad? Upset? Angry? (Just to let everyone know, Sunlyt is not a greifer, but a very nice toon)
3) They would probally close the thread, or let it die (die as in no one posting in it)

I asked the 3rd question because I found so many threads from 2003/2004.

I can answer all 3 questions, but a mod can add their answer if they'd like.

1. It's personal information, you can only post your first name and state; that's it.
2. That person can't defend themselves and who knows how it could affect the person.

Let's say, hypothetically speaking, that I said, "Sunlyt hacked on TT!" She wouldn't be able to defend herself and people would probably think of/treat her differently.

3. They would probably close it, but it would probably be in the archives already.

I agree with Squiddy22.
If we can post our first names. Other people can tell if its a guy name or a girl name. I doubt any guys have the name Sarah. That sounds like a girly name. So people would think its a girl.

We prefer users to not give out personal info. Many times, it's not hard to tell gender of some users and some have given that info freely. We don't want users just asking out of the blue what some people's gender is. Many users don't wish to give out that info and would make them feel uncomfortable.

"Personal Information" - This site has children present therefore asking for or volunteering personal information is not allowed. Personal Info consists of Real Life Names, Age, Gender, Location, Email Address exchanges, Instant messenger ID's, Password/Account Information, School Information and other similar details. This also applies to posting personal pictures of the users, their schools, homes (that include their exact locations), etc.

This applies to all forums, threads, posts, private messages, userpages, profiles, avatars and signatures. We here at Toontowncentral.com and VMKForums.com strive to keep the environment as safe as possible for our users.

This includes sites like *******, Xanga.com, or any type of social sites that allow personal information or inappropriate material that does not fall under the G-rating rules of this site. Any site that is not officially approved by the ToonTownCentral Staff is not allowed to be advertised on ToonTownCentral.com.

Profiles may be checked for content periodically & if deemed inappropriate will be removed and will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

This is what we call naming names flaming. Most of the time is hearsay and since several toons can look and be named the samething, it can cause a lot of confussion. Instead, we have a no naming names policy to protect innocent toons.

"Flaming" - Any posts that are hateful or mean in nature will be removed immediately. We do not tolerate attacks based on race, religion, gender, s**ual orientation, or political affiliation or any posts indicating grieving other users on the forums or in game by purposefully causing them to go sad because of their laugh limit, gag limit, age, etc.. No personal threats or harassment. This includes posting pictures representing an attack. Debate opinions and not the people behind them. This also applies to all forums, threads, posts, private messages, userpages, profiles, avatars and signatures.

"Naming Names" - This falls under "Flaming". Naming people or their characters in negative light is not permitted. That person is not able to defend themselves or their actions and what seems like an inappropriate action, which can often be a simple misunderstanding, can lead to a negative reaction against that toon (avoidance, revenge). If someone griefs you in the game, report it to ToontownStaff . If someone griefs you on this site, PM an admin or moderator or report their posts.

Most threads are archived after 6 months. If you should bump up a thread that is old, as long as the topic is still valid, that's fine. To do so to a very old and outdated topic, we often delete the new post and close the thread. This really isn't grounds to warning/suspend any user over. It's more of an annoyance than real violation of our policies.

What do reffrals on your public profile mean?
For example:Blinky Trickyspinner has Refferal:21.
I got refferal:0.
I'm confused.

There is a option when you regestered, prettymuch it says

Who gave you a link to this site?

Lets say i gave a friend a link to TTC, and they register and say Kit T. Kat refered me (told me about TTC)

What Kit T. Kat said. It doesn't mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of things, just tells us you've been referring people to TTC and they are setting you as their referrer.
