Mods/Admins, I have some words to say to you

Before you reach over for your mouse to go to Admin controls, please note this is the Site Feedback forum, and I am simply giving some feedback on the site. Feedback isn't always positive. I ask of you to t least read this.

Over my...six months of being on this site, I would first like to state this site has given me happiness and entertainment. I enjoy the positive attitude around other members, and we can even goof off and be normal at times. - Me three months ago.

Right, now, I will be telling you what I and other members are starting to think. If you're going to ban anyone, for what I am going to say, ban me.

We are all terrified of the getting the "Grounded" or "B.K." Why? It's now common. For what reason? Rule breaking, of course. Now, you guys have every right to punish the rule breakers, but, honestly, there is no reason at all to be so harsh. If it's only a harmless joke, there was no purpose to hurt/offend anyone. A "B.K." probably isn't appropriate. "Grounded" or a warning, yes, but not those big letters. I've no right to intrude into your punishments, but I am. I think they're too harsh, too strict, and just silly. We're thinking "Lighten up, it was a harmless joke".

Now, I know everyone here is human (excpet the bots), and I know you all like to have fun. That's what we're here for. Fun. Right now, it isn't fun. All of our friends getting banned, for, what I believe, ridiculous reasons. I've already covered that, so no more about bannings. Admins/mods, I've only seen a few posts of yours that have nothing to do with rules and policies. C'mon people, seriously! Lighten up, post in the threads you find interesting! I know you have to focus on work, but it's not all 24/7 work. You're all here, just like the rest of us, to have a good time.

Er...sorry for bringing this back, but I have a suggestion we will ALL think would be fair. I suggest a marking system before a ban. Example:

Quote:
Bob: *rule broken*

so a mod marks off that he has broken 1 rule. He then warns Bob.

Bob, again breaks a rule.

the mod marks it again, that he has broken a rule. This time, he warns Bob that if he breaks a rule again, he will be Grounded.

Bob breaks a rule.

Mod grounds Bob.

Grounding is over, and bob breaks ANOTHER rule.

Mod warns him to shape up.

Bob breaks a rule again.

Mod B.K.'s Bob.
It's kind of like three strikes you're out. If you think it's too many warnings, I can't blame you, this would just make me happy. =/

-sigh- This was all 2c, and SOMEONE had to say it. Sorry for getting on your bad side, but it had to be said. Thanks for reading. -sigh- B.K. here I come... >.>

Yeah he is kind of right... that's why I don't post as much... I hope I don't get grounded or anything...

To be truthful, I have been having less fun on this site... I can be funny, yet I can notice when there should be a warning and when there should be a B.K. I know when I shouldn't say something (Kinda right now) and when I should say something. I know that mods and admins should lighten up a bit... I'm not trying to do anything wrong either.

Well, if I do get "anything" wrong then well...do it, if you have to... I get kind of bored on this site. I'm not as funny as I use to be.

We have fun... then to be truthful... some mod or admin just comes in and ruins it. Probably this thread too.

Mod and admins, oh well, do what you wanna do, just keep it more fun on this site! We would like you guys to start talking up a bit! And activites thread ... you need to have a little bit of fun. You should post in threads some more.

I kinda wrote about nothing yet something up there O.o. Just said whatever came out of my head.

My opinion:

From what I remember, the mods and admins give certain consequences depending on the severity if the violation. I remember when I got in trouble for the first time, and now I be careful about what I'm saying, because I want to stay on ttc like the rest of you guys. If I have a question about the rules, I just pm a mod/admin so I know more about what to be careful of and expect.

I'm pretty sure that the staffers (mods/admins) don't like banning people. I also know that being a staffer is not an easy job. It's not always fun and games, like school. We can't goof off all the time. Sometimes, we just gotta get through it even though it's hard.

The staffers put a lot of time into keeping this site G-rated. I appreciate that. The staffers answer our questions and help solve our problems. I appreciate that. The staffers seem very nice and cooroporative. I appreciate that.

Here's a poem I made a while back for our fellow staffers:

We may not be perfect
And certainly no other
And even though that all those posts
Are certainly a bother
We appreciate the work you do
And it’s really good to show
We have appreciation for you
And it’s really nice to know!

I'm not saying I don't appreciate their work, I'm not saying I don't appreciate their concern for us, not saying it's easy, not saying they shouldn't ban.

I'm saying they should take it easier.

So... I think Twinklemash is saying that Mods and Admins should give the right punishment. Right?

I'm not right I bet.
