Isn't it already deserted? jk
The site is having somewhat SQL and server problems, after the DDoS attack, the server has been getting errors I guess...

It has alot to do with the massive amounts of members logging on at similar times.
Kids get home from school.
Adults get home from work.
Etc, etc, etc.
It's still being debated whether the recent DDoS attack was a planned assault or not...
I mean... Who would attack a fansite devoted to cartoon animals...
@_@
I'm probably not making much sense at all...
But I do find the seeming abandonment of TTC very creepy...
<_<

It's something that makes attacks against a server using a small script.
When it hit the server, the site was massivly piled with requests to get on the server yet overloading the site and shutting it down along with the SQL files/server.

Lol.
A DDoS attack is when a large group attempts to flood a server.
In this case, TTC.
The do this to overwhelm security measures.
This causes TTC to effectively 'shut down',
Thereby cutting off its members from making any contact with the site.
Oh, DDoS stands for Denial-of-Service.
XD

what the? whenever someone is on, it says Last online at: whatever time it is. i think thats a little strange.
EDIT: ok nvm, it did that with me, and then i checked someone else's, and it did the same thing again. but now i checked one more time, and it says that theyre online, so yeah. kinda confusing. =S
EDIT2: ok what the heck, i checked AGAIN, and it said the person is offline. and they arent. btw i checked insomniac. =P

Close enough.
Both are attempts to flood a server, just by different means.

I do find the seeming abandonment of TTC very creepy.

We are being attacked.
I have been working to minimize the effects of the attacks. One thing I did was cut back what the server does on the front page.
Among other things, I cut back on the Session Timer. That means that is a person doesn't click a link here within a period of time, they will not show up on the Who's Online list.
Having a shorter list means fewer people for the server to keep track of, thus less load.

We are being attacked, RIGHT NOW? Lock the .. uh dbs? err.. ip? I dunno anyways, does anyone think this hacker/DDoS'er will stop anytime soon? >_>
Hmm.. DDoS doesn't run on anything FTP, does it? If it does, why not ask the host to like turn off FTP? I am just trying to think when I can't >_<
