This means that if you get a bad derep, you can alert a mod and have it taken care of.

Rep wasn't bad for everyone. Sure, everyone got dereped for a bad reason (or no reason at all), but some of us were able to keep mickey heads by getting more good reps than bad ones. ^^

If it does come back, I think the moderators should moderate how the newer forum members use it, like how they watch their behavior with the Registered+ thing.

Or maybe the rep isn't given immediately and mods must check out why the person did that. Then the mod accepts it and the rep goes through.

Rep was a mess. But maybe it'll be better this time!

@ Garfieldo: Rep wasn't all that bad, but for some reason, people just took it too seriously. On VMKF, there is already a thread 3/4 pages long and the starter asked why he was de repped. That'll probably happen here too. Hopefully if they bring it back to TTC, they can maybe get a better hold on it than last time.

UPDATE!

EKB has messed with VMKF! Was the whole rep thing one big joke? Or is it a one-day-only thing? The messages now say "<person> is in a line without a ticket" or "<person> needs to get out more" and even "<person> will find that no good deed goes unpunished". And that's if you have Mickeys! Also, the red reputation boxes have been changed to carrots. When you have a carrot, it says "<person> hasn't been caught yet".
Could rep returning just be a big joke from EKB? O.o
