I can't see DS chat codes. O,o

I got Animal Crossing Wild World for my birthday, and I've been wanting to find some friends to a while now. So, I decided to enter a chat code in my profile. The thing is, when I looked at my profile, I couldn't find it anywhere! And I can't see the chat codes of other users either. O_o Do I have to be a member of a certain group?

I'm talking about here on TTC. You're able to enter a chat code in your profile, but for some reason, I can't see them in my own profile, or in any other profile for that matter.
