What does the little blob mean?

I think it shows if they're online or not.
Green, online.
Blue, offline.

Correct. Also if you're in Invisible Mode, your button will be red, but it'll only look like that to you, though. To everyone else it'll be purple-ish and say offline. Mods might see it red, too.

Mods, and admin will see red or green when you are in "Invisible Mode"

Ok, I looked at vBulletin Features, and it isn't on vBulletin.
Invisible Mode (Hidden User) - To be online but look like your offline to other members except mods & admin unless they demoted themselfs to "no seeing the invisiable" thing.
