To the 3 toons who left me to it in the factory

I recently started a new toon Peppa-mint, now a 54 laffer.
I needed to complete a toontask by destroying some Skelecogs in the Factory. It isn't my first visit with this toon and Peppa-mint can hold her own but obviously can't solo it like SillySpiffy can.
I asked 3 other toons that were there if they could help me and we loaded the elevator. At first everything went smoothly although there was none of the normal banter, all they wanted to do was SFchat...but fair enough, at least I was getting my task achieved.
I used toon-up on these other toons once (two of whom had over 100 laffs) but as we got to the silo they stood and didn't approach the cogs. I turned and moved back towards them at which the little one said 'lets go' and moved towards the cogs. OK I thought and moved forwards and got dragged in and the other three toons just stopped where they were and carried on with their SF
chat. My lure missed and I was knocked down to 13 laffs at which I shouted that I needed my laffs only to be ignored, my lure miss again and me be sad and back to the playground. My last view was of the three toons heading towards the cogs to do battle.

I am disgusted by their behaviour and really hope they read this post and know that when Silly Spiffy is back in Toontown I hope she sees them and can return the favour. I can honestly say I have never treated another toon like that and would never normally, but for you guys I will make an exception.

Oh dear, I feel for you.
While growing up in TT I had this task "defeat a factory foreman" (back when he was a lev 12),
so I was running in Oak street and this toon kept on stinking me all the way, no reason at all...
then in front of ele I asked for help stating my task and they all said "OK" including the one who was stinking my toon.
Oh Boy, I was very naive! I played by their rules, followed their lead, mainly supporting their attacks,
my gags were ok (sound included). In the warehouse: "Lets use sound" one said,
Ok, I pulled my "mighty" horn They passed, and we all got hit, mainly me.
Guess what, they healed each other and my toon eventually went sad.
How is that for a first experience?? I see premeditation, planning, trickery, scheming and dishonesty.
Never got the chance to see who was this "Foreman" person for a long time.
So, I am so sorry that you have to experience that situation.
There are still good and nice toons out there, I know because
eventually someone helped me defeat the foreman and have defeated him so many, many times..

The foreman is the last four cogs in the factory in the final silo... for those who are curious.

That's rude! I've never experienced anything like that. People disrespect low-laffers and sound-less just because they aren't like them. I hope this will change some people's lives with this...

The thing I didn't get from this was that your Peppa Mint isn't even in the "too risky" catagory. It truly befuddles me. It doesn't sound like they were even mean to you so you had no warning this may have happened. It stinks that people act that way.

Sorry for the rant, but just had to get it off of my chest. I have no qualms about taking anybody else through the factory with my other toon irrespective of laffs becuase I know that I can do it solo and I actually enjoy helping the newbies.
My faith has been somewhat restored with the help of a white rabbit (we are dancing below). The two that jumped off of the elevator at 1 second missed a lot of fun, in fact it was so much fun we did it again just so she could get her remaining merits.

im sorry that happened! it happens to most of us training little toons. they did it to my uber in training toon, the nerve of some people. well i would be happy to help your little toon in any factories you need

Ouch! I have learned a lot in the last couple of months that I have been playing this. I try to help other toons whenever I can, but when I do a battle with them and they have no idea what is going on or what gag to throw where it gets frustrating - but I do hang in there.

When another toon with low laff CLEARLY knows what they are doing, I am all over them with praise.

I seriously hope your post reminds others that toontown is supposed to be a happy, friendly place to get together, make friends, and fight cogs. And dont underestimate toons with low laff points!!



Question real quick - what exactly is an uber toon and why are they called that?

an uber toon is a toon with maxed gags in the tracks they have, at a low laff. ex: 25-40 laff toon with opera, wedding cake, and geyser. you see alot of these in sellbot hq. there are also some in cash bot hq. but i have only seen a few

Well I got played or knowned as "Greifed"
I did a fac with random high laffers although I am also one.
Everything went okay then at the place where you stomp the goons with the buttons I went and battled the cogs that were there cause I needed 5500 merits. But they skipped that battle and did the glitch to get up instead of going through the locked door. And they battled the foreman and used a opra singer I got there at last min. and saw the opra singer effect so i knew they used it.

I was sooo mad.

Ya know. Those kinds of people are the kind that REALLY, REALLY, seriously need a life. That kind of situation happened to me once.
I was like a 60+ laffer working on SBHQ. I needed to Fac for my merits so I went in with some random people.
They were high laffers so I thought "I'll be okay." But, ohhh. I was wrong. The highest laffer Toon was really rude.
He went on without us to the Silo's while we were still in the warehouse.
Luckily, we caught up to him in the Silo's but when we got to the Foreman, he continued to pass!
Our laff-points were going down and when I was the last one with the Toon, I had down to 10+ laff-points!
When I was about to go sad, he chose wedding cake and let me go sad.
He said "Ha ha!" and, "You stink!" We absolutely did, NOTHING to him.
These people probably have bullying problems or something in real life.
I wouldn't blame them for being bullied in real life or have some really depressing problem.
But, they seriously need a life outside of the computer instead of griefing other people.

just know that sometimes, sometimes, they get their due....

not so long ago Super Dad needed 5500 to get his HW15 (he was a 25 laffer, maxxed sound, throw, squirt).

Well, I got on the elevator w/ threee mid 80 toons, all sfs....we ran through perfectly well, i occasionally used sound so that they could drop, etc. Absolutely no evidence of the upcoming malice.

We get to the final four, and there is an invasion on, so I run on in. (It had just started).

They stayed outside. I heard them say "oh no" and "ha ha" and "you stink". To myself, I simply said "Oh well."

Well, I always carrry Barnicle Bessie for these situations....so at five seconds I whipped her out (thank goodness she hit). They opened the door in time to see me dancing. I happily said "Did you win? Play again?"

You have NEVER seen so many "you stink" "Please go away" in a play ground in your LIFE!

They followed me for about half an hour, while I got gags, and up until I got in the elevator to go get more merits, at which point....I simply said "Play again?" "Why not?" "I need more merits." "Ha Ha".

Not very mature of me, I'll admit. But I'll bet they thought twice about doing THAT again!

So sometimes, it does work out....

Wow. I don't understand why anyone would do that? I cant even see it from there point of view, unless you said something to them that made them unhappy or something but from the looks of your posts I really doubt it. Thats so amazingly low and those people deserve 0 respect. I don't get why anyone would to that. Its like torturing an animal for pleasure. Why would you do that? What pleasure is gained? I don't understand? Maybe you offended them some time before, or maybe they knew your big toon, maybe they don't like you from ttc, but if they honestly have absolutely no reason for that then I hope karma brings them all they deserve. What ugly people. I mean I know I've been mean to toons on my bigger toon who were mean to me on my smaller toons but thats because they actually tried to grief me, maybe they have a good reason for this but from the looks of it I'll take your side gladly. Thats ridiculous. People, I don't care what age, really need to grow up. Its okay to be silly and immature, to an extent anyways, but immature and disrespectful are two completely different trains but sometimes they end up at the same destination. These toons werent immature in that fun sense, more immature in that 'you're not even worth it' sense.

LOL -- I was as surprised as a person could be. I've done probably 500 or more factories, and i've only been "griefed" like this twice - both times, in the final battle, both times I managed to avoid going sad. Both times I could think of nothing I had said or done to make them mad.

I think some people just find it hilarious that they have the "power" to take another person down. I'm aware that running as an uber has its risks - not from the cogs, but from shallow mean people.

That's why when I'm on a "big" toon, I generally don't care who I get on with - regardless of their level, I can generally gets us both through to the end, using lure, etc. and then inviting them in to help with the cogs (if they are a 17-20 for example)....its way more fun for me to do that!

(if they don't wait for an invasion, I can get a bit testy, but I wouldn't let someone go sad - unless perhaps they said "I don't care" to my requests to please wait.....if they blunder on in, well, I'll try to slow it down, but I wouldn't let them go sad....

Anyway - being nice is much more fun!

Did they say somethin to you at all while standing there? were they waiting for an invasion? were they disconnected?

I mean if they said something which can be assumed that they were waiting for an invasion, it's possibly that they got mad at you for battling the cogs first.

However, they should've battled the cog and used only lure.

As we arrived in the factory I said 'Hi everybody' and received no reply and I asked what toon task they were working on so I could find out for sure if any of them needed merits but they just carried on talking to each other. I didn't attempt to get through the factory the easy way and automatically turned back to make sure we went through every room. In fact when an invasion finished I actually said 'Lets catch the next one' so that they would know that I understood if they did need more merits.
This actually happened on the silo, so still 2 more battles to go before the boss and plenty of time to wait for an invasion. While I was struggling they didn't say anything to me, just carried on with their chat and although I did wonder at first if it was a glitch or they had disconnected I turned back for them and one of them said 'lets go' and started to move towards the cogs. As I turned back I got drawn into the battle and they just stopped and watched. As I said as I went sad I saw the three of them running to take the cogs on themselves.
It is very, very rare I stink anybody as I always think that it could be a child but this was not the actions of a child and I must admit to saying 'that wasn't nice' and 'you stink' as I went sad. Normally when toons stink me I just use the sleepy emotion and laugh at them.
Craig, you sound like you enjoy running with the lower laff toons as much as me. I find the factory so easy to solo but when you need lots of merits it becomes very tedious and I like the added challenge that you sometimes get with a new toon.
