Where do the EXTRA SOS cards go?

This may be a dumb question...

If I already have 8 different SOS cards, and get another one by defeating the VP, it doesn't show up in my list (because all 8 card slots are already filled).

So, where does that go? Do I lose it?
Or is it part of my collection, and when I use one of the ones that I have, will it show up on my list?

Also, how many of each in the list can you have? 2? More?

If you lose it, how do YOU manage this.. do you use/remove a SOS card prior to going on a VP run, so you have an open slot for a new one?
Or wait to see what the card that you are playing for is, and decide if you want it or not, then use/remove a card to make room during the battle?

Yup, you never get it. Even if you run out in one collum, it wont shoe up.

You can have 99 cards of each of the eight types.

If my slots are full and I see a SOS toon like flippy or clerk clara I use one of my SOS card and try to get it.
